Beautifully and accurately illustrated. Shows the different habitats along with the animals, insects and plants found on or around the beach. Every few pages has a list of items to find. Luckily, a diagram in the back of the book shows where each are found.

This book just lists all the things in an illustration that the main character sees on the way to the beach. Which I wasn't into.
But my idea of nature is a screened-in porch, so I'm totally biased.
