The book I chose was Anne Frank: A Portrait in Courage. This book was chosen at random, but it reminded me of the lessons in which we learned about Hitler and the unfair treatment and discrimination of the Jews. This time was crucial for the Jewish people because of the KKK, possibly and because of the terrorist groups and Hitler, Adolf Hitler. He was the start of it all. This book provided some history to help understand Anne's life and experiences. It finishes her story where her diary ends - sad to write but crucial in knowing how her life ended. Although, Anne's life will hopefully never end. As long as people continue to read her diary, her life and the events of that time will continue to exist.
