a kind of poetry of place. strange and mysterious. i didn't understand at all the obviously intentional misspellings, but it's a minor thing. the production is also really slick. another great book from ypolita press.
ADDENDUM
i now understand the misspellings as a means toward a melding of english with another language.
so there.

a gorgeously incendiary read; a graph of two languages drawn magnetically toward each other, distorted, reformed, mutated by the dramatic weight of each other; a travelogue in which the protagonist is not so much the traveler but her language, a language thrust upon an unfamiliar stage and for(c)(g)ed to adapt - a world in which one language is not partitioned from the other but broken open, spilled, expanded by it.

This is an amazing chap. Beautiful in its form and such a great find! Guy's poetry is an invigorating poetry and a poetry which makes me crave for more! I look forward to more of her work.
