"Great Crime Mystery"

Jon Stanton loves to surf in Hawaii. But as a dedicated past crime investigator for the Los Angeles and San Diego Police Departments, he needs a little more activity in his life other than surf and sand. Thus he becomes a detective for the Honolulu PD. A young boy is found dead in the bushes of an upscale neighborhood. At least Stanton survives without getting shot this time, however, in the search for his sister he heads off into a dangerous place again.

That ending was so unexpected, out of nowhere. Wasn't looking for that.

Another 5 star rating. Doesn't Methos get tried of all of these 5 star ratings? I couldn't stop reading this book, not even for a minute. The body of this book was so riveting. BUT that ending was so unexpected, out of nowhere. Wasn't looking for that. What an epilogue. Don't read it first. Save it for dessert.

Much better!

I feel like the character of Jon Stanton is much more developed and in sync with his previous iterations. Much better read and I'm looking forward to reading the next one.

Loved the Hawaiian locale

A tight little thriller. Oh, the tangled webs we weave. The cop was a really good guy. I'd like to think that there are some. But, the one I rooted for was the young girl. Really liked it.

Good and fast paced read

Another good read. Victor has done it again. The only thing that disappoints is the fast ending. However this series is well worth reading. Am off to his next book!

Not as intense as others written by Victor Methos. No mystery in the plot, no extended suspension or worry about the unsympathetic characters.

Best Effort.

The author brings it all together in this novel. It has finally entwined plot, style, character development, and conclusion. Excellent read.

“Panic released a hormone called cortisol into the blood. It affected memory, adrenaline release, and blood sugar. With all of those things misfiring at once, thinking became more difficult. That’s why standardized tests in school were such a poor indicator of success or intelligence: The day of a test was the worst day to attempt to measure anyone’s abilities. Stanton” 0 likes
