Cindy has waited a long time for Jeremiah to share the secrets of his past with her and she’s not going to let the murder of a young woman at a political rally at the church keep her from finding out exactly what the rabbi has been hiding. Just when she’s beginning to get answers, though, an emergency phone call sends her off to Las Vegas to the bedside of her injured ...more

Once again Cindy stumbles onto a murder at her church. Before she can become involved in solving the crime though she is off to Las Vegas to be by the side of her brother who is in a coma after an accident.

Jeremiah is left behind though to help solve the mystery. Jeremiah telling Cindy a part of his past didn't go over too well before Cindy left. Jeremiah has tried to leave before his past catches up with him, but Cindy has a hold of his heart and he is reluctant to put their relationship behin

As with all the psalm23 mysteries, I couldn't stop reading, couldn't get enough of Cindy and Jeremiah. I was on the edge of my seat with tense shoulders and clenched teeth.

And even though the secretary and the rabbi are the best of friends, they only barely reveal any of their true feelings for each other. *dreamy sigh*
Oh July 2014, do come soon. I need to read #9.

One of Debbie Viguie's characters refer to the architecture of Las Vegas as being mind-boggling. I would like to suggest that actually, what Viguie has done with her characters and the development of Cindy and Jeremiah's relationship is mind-boggling. After so many books, you would think the whole premise of the books would be old. No! You feel like you're on a wild journey on the back roads in southern Ohio or northern Kentucky. The car of your mind is whizzing along fast in one direction, ...more

My husband and I absolutely love this series, and we thoroughly enjoyed this book, especially because of all the great character development and the way the characters grew deeper in their relationships. Especially Cindy and Jeremiah, yay!

I gave it only four stars because I thought the mysteries were a little weaker than in the other books. There are actually three mini-mysteries in this book since the characters are in different places than each other for much of the book. I kept expecting the

There was a lot in this book. A politician is walking the state of California, to get in touch with his possibly future constituents, and is found by none other than Cindy Preston... standing over a dead body in the ladies' bathroom at Good Shepherd. Mark and his wife are vacationing on a beautiful island... where they solve another murder with Elisa, a writer with a penchant for coming across dead bodies like their favorite church secretary back home. Cindy has a family emergency which takes ...more

Like a letter from an old friend....

I have to say my major disappointment was the length of the book, too short. I wanted to keep reading but the book was over. My reaction to a new psalm 23 book is the same reaction one would have to a letter from an old friend, heartfelt and welcome. Almost the entire cast of characters were on deck for this book, just all in different locations. It was very enjoyable and I don't quite know how I will survive until July. Wel

In this action packed installment of the Psalm 23 Mysteries series, we get three exciting mysteries! Cindy stumbles upon another dead body at her church. Before she can start investigating, she gets a call that her brother was in a serious car accident in Las Vegas. She rushes to his bedside and discovers that it wasn't an accident after all. Meanwhile, Jeremiah continues investigating the murder in California. Detective Mark and his wife Tracy are enjoying their relaxing vacation in Tahiti when ...more

This series is one of my all time favorites! I lose myself in the story and the characters are my friends. I know I have a hope for love to bloom. For a chance at life to be born from the ashes of the past. I love the friendship that has grown. The trust and help that comes natural. Now that is a gift from God! Trials that could tear people apart and break them is making them stronger and closer! That is the difference when God is part of the plan!

I look forward to the next books...

I am a little depressed that I have caught up with the author on this series. I want the next one out NOW! This one actually had 3 separate mysteries going on as all the normal players were in different places on this. And the story of Cindy and Jeremiah just gets more fascinating the deeper it goes.

I loved this part of the story, at first you think that Kyle is the one being targeted because of his reckless ways in the past, but a twist comes and shows you the truth. In the end, the siblings could not be more different, Cindy for her part is coming out of her shell of safety and it seems that for once Kyle might be retreating into one...

Interesting twists

Instead of the usual group investigation, the group is split up and faced with three different mysteries. A serious situation arises that's gonna' take a miracle to resolve, but having Cindy and Jeremiah in your corner could do it.

I really love this series and I was VERY sad to see our library did not bother to order the rest of them. It looks like I'll have to buy them from Amazon then donate them to our collection. I've turned a few of our Outreach patrons on to this and I don't want to disappoint them!

Always a fun read, although I had to get this one from Interlibrary Loan. For some reason, my public library has the whole series (so far) except for this one volume. ??
