Sequel to One Constant

Throughout his life, successful artist Barnaby Rosenthal has been rescued repeatedly by his one constant, Charleston Meeks. But it’s been seven tumultuous years since he’s last seen the temporal agent outside of his dreams and paintings.

Recently retired from his father’s Restore Point Program, Charleston’s ready to approach Barnaby in their present ye

Time travel is complicated. Not just the basic logic of it (how does it work and what about all those paradoxes), but also the consequences of interfering in history. This sequel of ‘One Constant’ focuses less on the mechanics, and more on what happens to the people who travel in time as well as those who are saved. In this specific case, the author has decided to follow a couple of men whose story started in book one, then continues in this sequel. But it is no longer just them who are ...more

What a fun book! There were a lot of other emotions - sadness, fear, love, loyalty, anger, passion. And things were crazy - hitmen, deranged and homicidal senators, ex drama, kidnappings and many thwarted attempts, car chases and car wrecks and it was funny - Barnaby was spunky and sassy and his mouth tended to run off on him when facing bad guys, everyone was pretty sarcastic so there were some good one liners and snark. But most of the time I kept thinking how much fun it all was.

Unfortunately, despite enjoying the short prequel, I kind of lost interest in this longer length sequel. It was really fun, I liked the characters and it was interesting - but I have so many books I'm trying to read at the moment and not much time, so others were calling to me and I just couldn't stay in this story.

I guess I could never quite understand why Charleston got so attached to Barnaby so quickly? I could understand a hero worship kind of thing going on with Barnaby after Charleston sho

It all started from a time travel short story. Well, the author did a fantastic job weaving her time travel story into a full length novel. It is terrific science fiction writing that makes the whole idea of time travel seem possible.

In brief, Barnaby is a subject in the RPP program. That means that his death was avoided when someone from the future went into the past to save him. The RPP agent was Charleston Meeks Jr. Well . . . As it happens, Meeks falls in love with Barnaby and keep track of

This is romantic suspense at its best with a touch of sci-fi thrown in. The initial short, but awesome prequel One Constant, chronicles the 5 instances that Charleston was sent back in time to rescue Barnaby from certain death and doom. This sequel immediately begins where the other book left off.

Haunted and fixated on the mysterious "superhero" from his past, Barnaby longs for Charleston to stay for more than the few minutes he has appeared at key moments in his life. He is a tortured artist w

4.5 stars...The cool thing is you get a lot more of Barnaby and Charleston in this book and how everything works. Another cool that won't interest anyone else but character of Leaundra(which was her last name) I thought was super cool because of course it's my first name. I have to say every time I saw her name is was like whoa too cool, hehe I love a great time-travel book.

I just loved this! Excellent follow up/expansion on the first short story. I loved the sci-fi elements with time travel, the romance, the geeky call outs (Doctor Who! Everybody lives!), and the characters. I adored Barnaby and Charleston together. There was lots of action, twists, turns, and of course a happy ending for our couple! Very well done story, loved it!

A Joyfully Jay review.

Right on Time picks up shortly after the ending of One Constant and it works best to have read them in order. This book gives more insight into how Barnaby viewed the visits he received from Charleston, how meeting Charleston has completely altered his life, and also goes over the previous time travel that had already taken place and we get to see the larger picture of each scenario. Just when Charleston finally gets to Barnaby, there is certainly not much time fo

A fine sequel to One Constant, though the book could be read as a standalone since some of the earlier story is recapped. This did slow the beginning, since I had just read the previous story, but it would work excellently for someone who hasn't read it for a while.

In addition to the romance of Charleston and Barnaby meeting "for real" in their current time, we have the added suspense of someone out to kill Barnaby and all the other people saved by the original time travel program. Despite runni
