Jack Donovan went through hell and back to save Isabelle once. Now she’s back in his life, hunted by an assassin so elusive some claim he’s only an urban legend. More than just a gun for hire, the killer is driven by a pathological need to take down his targets and, when Isabelle escapes the bullet meant for her, Jack knows he'll strike again. The only way to keep her ...more

There were other men who could keep her alive, but he was the only man who made her feel alive.

I really enjoyed this action packed story. Every once in a while I find that I am in the mood to curl up with a good romantic suspense. The right combination of action and romance can just be tons of fun if it is

Why, oh why, do I do this to myself? Start a series in the middle and love it so much I need extra time to go back and read the fist books. This was really good. Even though there was a lot that happened in the previous book that lead up to this one, I was in no way lost reading this one. Jack and the rest of the boys are serious hot and all alpha. Isabella was no slouch and certainly held her own.

I think the big reason I liked this book is that it's the book after the running through the jungle book. I am not a fan of that sub-genre even if it was written by Shannon Stacy. I've looked at the plots of the previous three books and they are not for me. Luckily, this one stands alone just fine. It was on sale on Amazon so I thought I'd give No Place to Hide a try.

I've really liked all but one of SS's books and this was a good one as well. Her men tend to be emotional rather than angsty or mi
This book. I absolutely loved it. All I can do is gush, and coming up with coherent words isn't possible.

The chemistry between Jack and Isabelle leaps off the page, and the suspense parts? Omg. There were a few times that I gasped or made hand motions or quickly switched positions in my seat and my husband thought something was wrong. No, everything was right.

For me, this book was an amazing read and I enjoyed every minute of it.

I freaking loved No Place To Hide by Shannon Stacey. I first knew of Stacey for her contemporary romance, and was ecstatic when I learned she had a romantic suspense series (my favorite genre). I just love the adrenaline rush that comes with the action scenes. Not only does Stacey write engaging characters, hot romance and exciting stories, she also includes a nice balance of heart racing scenes to keep you on the edge and flipping pages.

There's been a gap between this book and the previous so it was hard to remember all the players, but you didn't really need to know them so much anyway. There were moments when I felt like I had missed something because references were made and it had just been awhile since I'd read the previous books. Regardless, I really enjoyed this one.

I thought that the way the author portrayed Isabelle as a former kidnapping victim was quite realistic. She didn't magically get over the experience but work

This book I've been hoping for to be published for so long, and when I found out it was coming out I did a little happy dance! AND when I got an e-mail last night that I actually won a copy of it, in a competition on the author's page... Yeah.

The emotional, psychological tension in the story is high. The team has gone through hell once before to save Isabelle's life, and Jack lost his heart to her, but had to let her go. And now a yea

Jack, the hero, and Isabelle, the heroine, have a history in that Jack once rescued her from captivity in Matunisia. They fell in love during that operation, but he gives her his number while telling her to call if she ever needs him and he'll come. And, then he puts her on a plane back to the United States. A year later, she calls him from the bathroom of a coffee shop after someone tries to kill her. And so the story begins.

I enjoyed this. Jack is not an "alphahole", but he is a contract "oper

This is book #4 in the Devlin Group Series but it can be read as a standalone. I have not read any of the other books and I did not have a problem picking up with this one.

One year ago Jack was involved in rescuing Isabelle from a guerrilla compound but then he left her at the airport told her to get on with her life and left. Isabelle has never forgotten the brave man who has rescued her and when some tries to kill her again Jack is h

Okay, I'll admit it. I've been missing Shannon Stacey's writing since the Kowalski series wrapped up. And I'll admit that I had no idea she wrote the Devlin Group series. It's completely different from the family dramas of the Kowalski series, and I was really drawn to checking it out.

No Place to Hide is the fourth book in the Devlin Group series, and it reads very well as a standalone. There's loads of action packed suspense as Jack Donovan tries to save Isabelle Arceneau from an assassin's bu

Okay, so I am definitely going to have to read more of the Devlin group. This was my first book by this author. Though there was some history between this couple I would have liked to have, I didn't feel lost at all and was able to read this as a standalone. The story had a lot of action and kicked off right at the beginning of the story. Chemistry was great between the couple even though Jack was fighting what Isabelle knew was a foregone conclusion. Isabelle was a trooper throughout all the ...more

This is a first for me, I haven’t read a Devlin Group story from Shannon Stacey before. I’m a big fan of her contemporary romance titles so I was excited to jump in with something a little more action packed. Because the overall storyline is intertwined I did have a little bit of a problem jumping in with book four, No Place to Hide. Our h/h met in the previous book, the original connection that Jack and Isabelle made was in book 3 in the series. They may have been apart for a year but when Isab ...more

This was a great read that was filled with suspense and a lot of action.

Isabelle was once rescued by Jack Donovan previously when she was kidnapped by a druglord in Africa. She quickly learns that her feelings for Jack have not dissipated over the time that they have spent apart.

Isabelle once again finds herself in trouble and the only person she knows to call is Jack. Jack doesn't even think about going and helping Isabelle. They quickly learn that Isabelle is the target of one of the most el

Background: Jack rescued Isabelle from a horrendous kidnap situation in a prior book. This is the story of how they reunite.

Isabelle is in trouble, big trouble, so she calls Jack and asks for help.

This is an exciting book that kept me reading. It has a sweet ending. Both characters have real personality and Stacey did a great job in the writing. However, it's much the same as so many of the books in this "Alpha Military Male Rescues the Woman" genre that the details fade a few days after readi

As a huge fan of Shannon's Kowalski family series No place to hide is my first book in the deviln group but it will not be the last. Jack and Isabelle have a past. A year ago Jack was one of the main guys to rescue her from the prison camp she was stuck in for two years.

Now a year has passed and neither have forgotten each other However Isabelle is in trouble and the only one who can save her is Jack. Being back together isn't something Jack wants He know his life isn't for Isabelle but that do
I have no idea how I didn't know about this series since Stacey's The Kowalski series is one of my all time favorites. I definitely need to go back and read the first couple books. The was a pretty exciting book that plays off of a mission from a previous book and although I didn't read it I had no problem following along with the plot. Ms. Stacey knows how to write a great romance with action and lots of sexual tension. Can't wait to read the rest of this series. My only question is the age ...more

This was a really good book. There was alot of action, the chemistry was great between the two main characters. Isabelle was a strong character and was great throughout the whole ordeal of the things they had to go through. Jack did hid best to deny his feelings for her, but in the end he realized he just couldn't live without her. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from this author.

I feel like we've waited forever, but I must say - so worth the wait! I LOVE the Devlin Group! No Place To Hide is NO exception. It's intense, action-packed, and sexy. Finally we get Jack and Isabelle's story! Jack gets that mysterious phone call in the middle of the wedding and he rushes off to help Isabelle. Her past is coming back to haunt her and only Jack can protect her (with the Devlin Group's help). Definitely a 5-star book! I hope there's another!!

I really liked this. More than I expected, reading book 4 first. I love this author's Kowalski series but this was different. Action and a little suspense with a good romance in there, too.It was a lot like Christy Reece's Last Chance Rescue books, just not quite as edgy or gritty or complex. Will definitely read the other 3 books. 4.5 stars

Fun, category length RS. Definitely action packed. I felt the romance was a bit rushed, but I wonder if I'd read the earlier books in the series if I'd feel that way. That said, it's definitely easy to read as a stand alone. The relationships between the guys on the team really sell this book for me.

I love the Devlin series. I love suspense romances. And Shannon didn't let me down. Love Jack and Isabelle. They have a lot of tension between them. Neither wants to admit it. They are running for those life and find they can't run from each other any more. Lots of guns, lots of suspense, super funny.
It was nice to read something a bit different by Shannon Stacey, No Place to Hide was well written but I found the heroine to be a bit too much for me at times. But still liked the book. Also, as usual I jumped right into this series with book four and had no issues!

Devlin 4

Action packed with some romance thrown in. Jack and Isabelle meet again when she calls Jack for help after someone attempts to shoot her. In steps the Devlin Group and the party begins. Can the group find a killer before the killer finds Isabelle?

More danger and action than anything else. I liked it but was in no rush to finish it. Quick HEA ending.
