A lovely book of essays about traveling and living in Turkey. Filled with mouthwatering descriptions, cultural observations, and historical tidbits. Morrow clearly loves the place, and the love shines through, with notes on differences and culture clashes that are exploratory rather than judgmental. She also made me hunger - hunger! for some lokum, which I learned is the local term for that fabulous chewy delicacy, Turkish Delight. Might just have to mosey on down to the nearest Turkish ...more
