After she went through a series of tragedies instead of pulling the covers over her head, Lisa Rubino picked up a pen and a mixing bowl. Learning how to keep it together can come with the food, she found. Good Grief Cooking does all of this and more in an extravaganza of color, interspersing her personal story (quite the most fascinating part of the book) with nourishing recipes. Along the way, she incorporated the world into her kitchen memoirs, humor and love into her food.
