I had previously read all the contents of the book save for the introduction and afterword, and there are fine new and old illustrations in the book, including both the Charles Livingston Bull and Dick Martin illustrations for Animal Fairy Tales, but it is wonderful to have these stories in a deluxe hardcover edition. Rogers mentions "Chrome Yellow," a story that is not included, in her introduction. It was my understanding that the Baum family did something to protect a copyright claim on this ...more
