I really enjoyed this story. There's a bit of a coincidence with Damian always turning up, and sometimes can seem anachronistic (i.e., "we'll just get the bank account transferred to your name.") John Hagee, a well known pastor, is quite a good writer!

This is a historical novel about Christians under persecution during the first century AD. Devil's Island refers to Patmos.

The fictional story will definitely keep you reading on, and the historical setting is apparently quite accurate. You'll learn a lot, as well as see parallels in the time in which we're living now.

I could not get into this book at all. It was all war. Just not my cup of tea, sorry. Nothing really to say for it.
