I’m not going to say it was love at first sight when I met her. I don’t believe in that. Because love isn’t about falling for someone’s looks. Though she was beautiful in every single way, from her dark, wavy hair to her gorgeous brown eyes, to the soft curves of her body. But that’s not why I fell so hard for her that summer. She took my breath away for reasons that had ...more

Caught Up in Her was an adorable, sweet, sexy and fun novella and the prequel to the Caught up in Love series by Lauren Blakely. I love this author's writing style and I can't wait to read more of this series!

The male POV was an added bonus.

P.S.: This novella is currently FREE on Amazon.

Loved Bryans pov. Will definitely be trying to get to all the books I've missed by this author before 2015 is over.

100% Safe.
This was a fun novella and I really enjoyed it. A quick read with sweet characters that were playful and flirty. Bryan and Kat had nice chemistry and great banter. I loved that it was told from both of their POV's.

I got a good sense of the characters and where they were at in their lives and where they were going. I thought this was a nice precursor of what's to come. I like that there was a five years later update that leads you into the first book, Caught Up In Us. I have not read the first bo

This book probably would have been fine, if I didn't realize about 5 pages in that it is a precursor to a book I have already read. I know what happens. I don't need "his" perspective. I don't care!

Caught Up in Her was a cute prequel! I did read it second, but I don’t think it really matters if you read it first or not. Either way, you’ll already know about Kat and Bryan’s Summer romance and why he broke up with her. I am glad that I read it after the first book though, since it allowed for more tension while I waited to learn why Bryan broke her heart five years ago; this just filled in some of the details. But there’s a twist at the end! Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but I think ...more

A short while ago I read Caught Up In Him, a short novella in Kat's point of view at age 17, having a Summer romance with her brother's best friend. He broke her heart.
This novella tells his story, and I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to reading the full length Caught Up with us, which I'm sure will be an enemies (on her part) to lovers book as he tries to win her back.

The flash back and forth dragged in a little, but became more interesting towards the end. Bryan's sudden decision through me a little, but then when it flashes forwards five years things start to get interesting

It's a cute quick story. I'll definitely read the next book. The writing style is simple and easy to follow. Good book when you keep getting interruptions.

So first things first, this is a prequel novella for the series, so this review isn’t going to be super long, given that the novella is well short. That being said I really did enjoy this book. I actually really like when an author takes the time to really explore characters pasts, especially when later on in the series we are going to experience these same characters at a later date. I loved being able to get a gl

This was a case of like at first sight for Bryan Leighton’s BFF and roommate, Nate Harper at NYU then during MBA. When it came to Nate’s little sister, Kat. You see they were on their way home to Nate’s family’s hometown to work the gift shop.
Turns out two years ago Nate’s mom had been in a bad car accident. Now that she had recovered well enough they wanted to celebrate and get away to their second home. Leaving Kat, Nate, and Bryan to work the gift shop for two weeks. The plan was for Kat to

I have a way with reading Lauren Blakely's work it seems. I find the novellas randomly and become so hooked based on the contents of them that I fall in love with the full length novels too. This one is no exception.

I loved this story. It was short, but oh so sweet. I liked Bryan and Kat a lot and the way they came to fall for each other was brilliant really because it seemed natural. Finding a girl you've got tons of things in common with, I mean for a guy that's gotta be pretty damn cool and

Bryan and Kat were one of my first Blakely Couples. I love them all in their own special ways. They are so playful and and sweet and those are some of the reasons why they are so darn cute with each other.

This is the prequel to Caught Up In Us told in Bryan's POV. It was wonderful to read about how they first meet and starting falling in love in that summer five years ago. It was only two weeks but that is all it takes when you know you found someone that will be permanently have a place in you

A Review of Caught Up In Her by Lauren Blakely

Innocent love - 5 stars

This is the beginning of the series. We meet Bryan and Nate (who were roommates for most of college) as they are heading to Nate's family home to help with the business for two weeks while his parents take a much needed break. Kat is Nate's little sister (having just graduated from high school) and the boys had jokingly told each other to keep their paws off each others sisters.

When Bryan meets Kat face to face for the first t

Where Caught Up In Him gave us the bare essentials, this book gave more information and built on the formation of Bryan and Kat's relationship. We get to see Bryan's perspective on the the start of their relationship, as well as a couple scenes from Kat's POV. Though some small things did change a bit from the first prequel, it wasn't drastic enough to be frustrating. Now, that the back story has me interested, I'm looking forward to how Lauren Blakely has continued th

Surely guys don't fall in love at first sight. It took more than that, right? A smile, a laugh, a conversation where Kat's wit was evident and her sense of humor kicked Bryan in the gut. Her warm brown eyes captivated him and her presence became his favorite drug. But no he wasn't falling for her. He couldn't. Kat was Nate's little sister. There was a clause against falling for your best friend's baby sister. But Bryan couldn't help himself. So they fell together. And then he broke her heart. ...more

"You're not supposed to fall for your best friend's little sister. But, really, I had no choice."

I loved this prequel to Caught Up in Love!

Bryan never meant to fall for Kat, the little sister of his best friend Nate, but he did and in a big way! After spending the mornings working with Kat and the afternoons at the movie's, he made his move, and was thrilled to find out that Kat felt the same about Bryan. When summer comes to an end and Bryan finds out that his job will take him to work overseas
Bryan follows his college roommate Nate to visit Nate's home town. Nate's mom and dad leave them in charge of the family's small business for a couple of weeks during the summer after graduation. Bryan meets Nate's sister Kat and he almost falls for her right at the onset. The story is told very well and the characters are just so sweet and you cannot help but love them also. This is a series. Each book covers a couple and how they get together. Each book in the series is a stand alone read. I ...more

Caught Up in Her is the very definition of a fun romantic read. This is the prequel story that comes before the novel Caught Up in Us, and focuses on the beginnings of Kat and Bryan’s unexpected romance. These two are so cute together! The forbidden romance angle is always fun, but what really made this one is the fact that they actually bonded and despite being such a short introduction to them Blakely managed to show off their undeniable chemistry.

I’m definitely going to read the full length n
Fall in Love: Twenty First in Series Romances

This was a perfect prequel for Caught Up in Us, it was so cute, HUHU. Bryan and Kat were definitely perfect for each other. Their relationship was so light but passionate at the same time, one of my relationship goals, TBH.

But as cute and nice as that was, I don't think I'm going to read the first actual book in the series.

More like about 2.5 stars, but not really enough to round it up to a 3.

Short, fluffy and sweet novella introducing one of this author's series, but it totally left me indifferent. I will only read the next one because it is the full story of these characters and I have had it in my kindle for ages.

I find Lauren Blakely a complete hit and miss author, but unfortunately the last two books I read by her besides this short one were more on the miss than the hit side of the spectrum. We'll see how

“was slated for the afternoon shift with Nate, but hell if I was sticking to the schedule. I figured one of two things would happen the more time I spent with her. I’d learn she was annoying, a pain in the ass, or silly, and all of those would be great because I could get her out of my system.” 1 likes
“I’m a morning person too,” he offered with a sheepish little shrug. “Hope you don’t mind if I share the morning shift with you. Nate’ll sleep past noon anyway.” “Not at all,” I said as I hunted for the keys in my purse, as if that action would mask the butterflies racing inside me from knowing I’d get to spend the next several hours with him.” 1 likes
