Not for me. A hard-boiled tale that was too hard to get into.

I tried and tried but could not relate to the character and as for the plot, I was left wondering what exactly it was.

There is some humour but I could not work it out (but I am not a funny person in that sense!) so in the end I had to give it up, reluctantly for I do not like being beaten.

But this was just too much to stomach.

Finally I know that the author has been likened to Groucho Marx, who is one of my favourites, but there seemed
