"I will consider doing the campaign--seriously consider it--if you sleep with me."

When Ross Bennett has the not-so-enjoyable pleasure of hearing those words come out of his mouth, he realises he must have left his pants in charge. Because the woman sitting opposite him may be seriously gorgeous, but this is serious business--not some sleazy backroom deal! Until Ally floors

It's always interesting to see people's relationships and their interpretation of what things mean.

In this story we have a young woman who was abandoned by her mother as a baby, loses her father as a teenager and learned that the best way to get attention and be 'close' to her father was by avoiding emotion and feelings. So although she's been with her foster family for years she stays detached because it's less painful and easier to enjoy. She works hard to 'earn' her place in the family.

They do say that opposites attract, and that certainly applies to Ally and Ross. They couldn’t be more different.

Ally is strung tighter than a violin string. Her motto is work, work and then more work. Life has taught her a series of lessons, hardcore lessons in life, one of which is not to leave yourself open to pain and hurt. Just easy episodes without the complication of emotions.

Ross certainly isn’t prepared for the stubborn ice queen and her odd boundaries for relationships and hook-ups.

Imagine hearing the words " I will consider doing the campaign - seriously consider it- if you sleep with me." Most woman of today would either slap the guy so hard he won't remember his last name, or slap him with a sexual harassment claim so fast he won't know which way to run.

But this is so not the case when it comes to Ally Jones, she's tougher than she looks and ready to rumble when it comes to Mr Sleep With Me or No Deal Ross Bennett. Only she has a little game plan of her own, she 'll te

Ross has no intention of saying yes to Alyssa Jones. After all, he never responded to her eleventy billion emails and phone calls she’d left for him. But now she was here in Cape Town giving him the once-over like he was a slab of meat. Which he *definitely* was not. What he was – a successful business owner, game designer, think tank organizer, charitable foundation founder. He’d done that all by himself, and he didn’t need or want more. Okay, maybe he kinda
If you want a good series romance story with enough meat to it then look no further. Ally is a work-aholic on the verge of having a breakdown. She vets out Ross for an ad campaign for her foster family's company. Ross is a self made business man who grew up with a work-aholic father and ensures that he will not be like that. He has balanced work and leisure wonderfully and has become a successful businessman because of it. Ross is delicious and down-to-earth and well balanced and realistic. When ...more
New-to-me author - I’ve been hearing some good things about her books, so picked this up when it was on sale.

A mixed bag - liked the modern feel and there was some strong chemistry between the h/h, but I also found myself skimming some parts.
High flying executive romance - one v corporate and one "bad-ass" CEO made for some good sparks and fun, steamy plot.
I might have given this book four stars as I liked the story and the characters, but half a star was deducted because of the love scenes (not because they were more detailed than some other books in the line, but because the details... just didn't do it for me, something about the wording, I think. I just wanted them over with so I could get back to the story. Another half a star was deducted because of the ending and the leading man's reaction to the leading lady, which just made me annoyed wit ...more
