I greatly admire those who write, for it is difficult and takes an incredible amount of effort and dedication. Most writers share a piece of themselves and their hearts in their work. Because of this, I am loathe to be overly critical; I don’t think I’ve ever rated a book with only one star. However, there are books that are deceptive and dangerous (whether intentionally or not), that are harmful to the reader, and/or are so wrong in their basic premises that they should not be read. ...more

This has to be the best book on marriage I have ever read. I'm not sure if I agree with everything they say, because so much of it is so deep that I haven't had time to think it through yet, but it is definitely worth thinking over - and the authors invite you to do just that, not shoving theology down your throat but illustrating wisdom through story, and raising questions for you to think about yourself.

Lots of food for thought...I really appreciate the Evans' approach to marriage. It's refreshing and encouraging.
