The introduction describes some of Bryn Fortey's recent tragedies, and how writing stories and poems helped him overcome these. In fact, Fortey was writing in the 1960s and 70s and then became quiescent for several years. Recently he's started writing again -- partly to address the issues mentioned above -- and it's a good thing, too. The writing here is exceptional, with all (well, there is one story I didn't enjoy as much as the others) being tip top. The stories range from SF to fantasy to ...more
