This book feels rather dated - it's all gung-ho about saving the environment and building something healthy, and yet it uses pressed and treated plywood and poles with carcinogenic chemicals soaked into them. It's fiercely opposed to the tyranny of building codes and has a lot of ideas about material efficiency, good ones and ones that would likely cause problems for a builder trying to get something approved, but it's honest about where it deviates from the norm.
