This is mainly of interest to those knowledgeable about music, and specifically pianos. As a pianist, I found it compelling, but the layer of metaphysical and general discussion that arises from the very idiosyncratic quest described by the author is banal in comparison to the specifics of the situation. The author definitely has a touch of OCD as far as her piano is concerned. For an amateur pianist, she goes to great lengths to get her piano to be the way it was in the showroom...a lot of interesting info on pitch, the physics of tuning and vibration, and pianos in general. Probably people who play the piano would like this best.
