Shelves: crime, 2015-challenge
When a badly decomposed corpse is found when a slum is being demolished, Percy Peach and Lucy Blake are again on the job.

Good, strong characters, even if at least one of them was a little cliched.

Missed the major clue... AGAIN!

Good read for all lovers of British police procedurals.

Thanks to the sharp eyes of one of the demolition men, a body is discovered in some run down slum houses which are being demolished to make way for modern buildings in Brunton. It seems like an impossible task at first to DCI Percy Peach and DS Lucy Blake but gradually they manage to piece together the history of the demolished houses and work out in conjunction with the forensic scientists when the body could have been put there.

This is a well plotted police procedural novel with plenty of susp
A straight forward police procedural. And just in case we might forget get that aptly named fuzz Inspector Peach was bald we were reminded every other page.
