One of the weirdest novels I ever read. If I had to describe this book, I would say that "Pity" is the lovechild of Sarah Waters and David Lynch. It's difficult even to try to describe the plot. It tells us the story of a disturbing relationship ( of love and especially of hate ) between a ambitious painter and a wealthy surgeon in Victorian times.
