One must admire Peter Marinello for telling his story, warts and all. He holds nothing back and does not pretend that he was the prima donna of football. He simply says that he had talent, it was spotted at an early age and he did not utilise his gifts to the full.

Even so, as the blurb suggests he became one of the game's survivors and, indeed, he played over 400 competitive games for his various clubs along the way. So he was no mean performer.

Great book to read I really enjoyed reading how a life so full of promise can turn ugly in a short space of time.
Peter Marinello had the world at his feet I had the pleasure of watching him play for Hibernian and arsenal,what a waste of talent.

this book is worth a read
