Recommends it for: Children interested in history
An fictional account of what it was like to travel to and go through Ellis Island. For a children's novel, it accurately portrayed the fear and struggle of people over a hundred years before our time.

Nell Dunne is scared. She and her mother, baby sister, older brother, and grandmother have endured the long journey from Ireland to the United States to be reuinted with her father after two long years.
