Good photo illustrations and easy-reader text, but one disappointment: a law of thermodynamics (cold is the absence of heat) would have been easy to stick in, but it wasn't. Otherwise a wonderful beginner science book for child or adult esl student.
I would use this informational text during a science experiment or lesson on heat. It is very straight-to-the-point with easy to read words for beginning readers. Great for grades Pre-k through K.
