Escaping Shadows is the second book in the Shadow World series by Julieanne Lynch. We once again follow the ever changing life of Giselle, a teenager that was taken away from her home and the family that she loves, only to have her life turned completely upside down. In this instalment, she is facing the greatest test of all "motherhood" but things are never easy or simple, Giselle seems to be able to find trouble where ever she goes. Trouble that she

"I followed him out into the dark, damp corridor and I knew that somehow I was walking towards the end, and there was not a thing I could do."

REVIEW- Well, Julieanne has out done herself again! Her brilliance radiates off this book, a book of sheer bliss and the power to make people believe in the impossible…Not only was I covered, head to toe in goosebumps but at many times I found myself breathless and completely lost for wor
Walking With Shadows is the exciting sequel to In the Shadows by Julieanne Lynch. After everything that happened in Into the Shadows Giselle is left pregnant with Alex's child and she is forced into hiding to keep him from taking her baby from her. The character of Giselle was darker than she was in the first book but all of her actions were justifiable because she was just trying to keep herself and her baby safe. I was so surprised about what happened to the character of Marc because I thought ...more

I didn't think that Giselle's story could get any better than In the Shadows, Julieanne Lynch's 1st book in the Shadow Trilogy, but it did!! In the second book Walking with Shadows, Giselle's already crazy, and unbridled life is only getting wierder! Nothing is what it seems, and if you think the rollercoaster ride in the 1st book rocked! Julieanne is taking us on a much higher, and faster one this time!! By the time I got to the last page, I was crying because I had to wait to read the final bo ...more

Have you read Walking With Shadows yet? If not, what are you waiting for? This book is fantastic, and let me remind you that it has 5 star reviews across the board! Let me also tell you that it has those for a reason! Walking With Shadows ROCKS! It is such a PAGE TURNER and much better than the first book in the trilogy, and yet, that book (In The Shadows) is an upcoming legend itself. Definitely not one to miss!!!

This is the second book in "The Shadows" trilogy. It definitely had a big wow! factor, much like the first book. It is also not one that can stand alone. If you read this one without having first read "Into The Shadows" you'll likely be very confused and you won't get the enjoyment out of the book that you should.

These books are fast paced and full of action and emotion that will keep you turning the pages because you really want to know how everything is going to turn out.

WOW, what more can I say other than the sequel to Lynch's In The Shadows did not disappoint. Everything from the first line, right through to the torment of the ending left me on the edge of my seat.
Giselle has grown in more ways than one, and her kick ass ballsy attitude can only get better.
Hose me down quick, because I need me a Antoine, and I want one NOW! lol, he is just the most fantastic male vampire character that I have read about in a long while. Note to readers: the bit where he bites

This is the second book in this amazing, dark, vampire series by Julieanne Lynch and I loved it every bit as much as the first.

I will confess I was a little nervous when I saw that there was a lot of switching perspectives and the story told from several voices (as opposed to book 1 which is totally Giselle centered) but I needn't have worried. The extra viewpoints add so much to the unfolding tale and are done in such a w

I really enjoyed this book. I could not put it down once I started and needless to say, did not get enough sleep that night.

The book moved along at a great pace from beginning to end, had wonderful characters that you want, no need, more information on, as you cannot help but fall in love with them, and an awesome story as well.

Julieanne Lynch is an amazing author and I really enjoy reading her books and look forward to reading more of her work in the near future.

I liked the book but damn can she quit getting kidnapped?!?
OMG ! I was wondering how Julieanne would match book 1 of this series and WOW this blew me away !!!
I literally devoured it in 1 sitting. Book 1 had drama and angst by the bucket load and this 1 overflowed with drama, angst feelings of hurt and betrayal. Yet again plenty of twists and turns that totally blindsided me !!! It was different though in the fact that we are given the pov's of the main characters this time.
The descriptions in this book were so vivid that you could not only visualise th
This was an entertaining tale but once again there was so much jumping around it is difficult to know what's going on.

Can't wait to read book 3!
Book two is Amazing!! Giselle is so confused. She has nowhere to run. No one she can trust. Alex, her not so best friend anymore has became so evil. Alex uses his vampire persuasion on Giselle, they marry and conceives a child. Alex beats her to near death out of jealousy. Giselle gets kidnapped and tossed from bad situation to another. Her wish is to go home back to her human family. And wake up from this nightmare. No such luck, just not yet, anyway. So, Giselle is carrying the future ruler. E ...more

Today's review is on Walking With Shadows by Julieanne Lynch

Walking with Shadows is the second installment in Lynch's Shadows series and like the first, it has left me wanting more.

As if Giselle couldn't suffer any further, she awakes from a nine week slumber to find that her baby bump has grown exponentially. And though she is both confused and alarmed, she finds comfort that Antoine has been looking after her. But the ever growing dangers are always just a step ahead of Giselle.

I loved the book! I liked it alot more then the first one of the series as there was no abuse, and I didn't hate as Alex as much. Alex I'm glad he's changed even if it was just a little bit, but he and Giselle don't belong together. I'm falling more and more in love with Antoine, he cherishes Giselle and would do anything for her, he treats he like a queen and with respect. "Well, one would be stupid to deny the obvious, but I have always been a sucker for damsels in distress, especially beautif ...more

For the past nine weeks Antoine has kept Giselle safe while she sleeps – but can he continue to keep her safe?

A war has started, one between the shadow world and the vampires; a war Giselle is caught in the middle of. Who can Giselle turn to for guidance, and who can she truly trust? With hidden agen

Holy smokes, this book certainly had me on the edge of my seat more than a few times. My heart raced when baby Kaden was born and I found myself tearing up, becoming totally emotional and invested in Giselle's life. I actually wasn't sure I'd enjoy the three perspectives this book was told from, but it worked really well. It was great to step inside Alex's mind and see him as something other than the asshole I came to loathe in book one. Marc surprised me more than a few times, and the sex scene ...more

From the queen of darkness....
.....Walking with Shadows....

Now when I first started reading this book, I had my doubts. Not because I doubted this author's skills at the written word, but because let's face it....sequels aren't always very good. A lot of the times they fall flat, regardless of the talent behind the story, and read...ers are left just a tad more than bewildered at what they just read. But from the moment I (figuratively speaking) cracked open Julieanne Lynch's second novel Walkin
Escaping Shadows is the second book in the Trilogy and I have to say I enjoyed it more than the first book.
Giselle wakes up after 9 weeks to find she is showing in her pregnancy, I loved the way the Author wrote the scenes when Giselle feels her baby move and when she talks to the baby the emotion is spot on for me.
Antoine is by her side and we see their relationship grow into something more which I was hoping for from the first book so I was happy to see that.
We still have all the twist and tu

Just when I thought Giselle's story could not get any better it does. In Escaping Shadows Giselle will not let anything happen to her son Kaden, not even Alex trying to kill him.

This story is told from many points of view Marc, Alex, Giselle which I thought was pretty cool!

Everything is not what it seems an you may be surprised. Giselle, becomes more powerful than in book one, and it makes you wonder now how muc
My head is spinning, in a good way. That was a paranormal romp and half, how J lynch kept up with her changing characters I don't know but it was great.

This is the second book in the series and you need to read Within the Shadows (Shadow World, #1) by Julieanne Lynch first trust me.

Book 2 continues from were book 1 finished and continues Giselles story, my god that girl is gonna need some serious therapy!!!

Giselle is pregnant with the vampire princes baby, but Antoine (also a vampire and alex's cousin) sweet funny adorable Antoine is there to watch

"Escaping Shadows" follows Giselle, heroine from the first book in the Shadow Series, into an even more complex life. Her pregnancy is taking a scary turn, the father of her child wants the baby for himself and evil forces are after her.
In her world of Vampires and Angels, Giselle is also emotionally confused between her feelings for Leonid, who is dead, and other more current potential love interests.
The book has all ingredients for a great paranormal romance, if only Giselle could focus on it
The beginning of this sequel was slow and calm. We can see that her relationship with Antoine is deepening. When she came to that door that Seraphim’s kids warned her about, I was like, seriously Giselle, why are you opening that door? I just hate it how she willingly goes places that she knows are bad for her. I was a little baffled by Giselle’s feelings toward Leonid as I didn’t get that impression from her in the first book. I liked Marc’s POV as we get to see what was happening from his poin ...more

The sparks are flying, literally... Book 2 picks up right where Within the Shadows (Shadow World Book #1) left off. Giselle has just been rescued by Antoine and is waking up from a 9 week coma. She is now very pregnant (as her precious bundle will be coming much faster than 9 months). The book is told from three different points of view (Giselle, Marc, and Alex) - which I loved. It gives you even more insight into the characters.

In this story Marc gets pulled into Giselle's new world - it is fun

This was an extremely well written novel. Lynch’s mastery of the English language allows the reader to immerse themselves in the story without having to figure out what the author is trying to say. This story has a flow that is easy to follow. Even though each chapter is written from the perspective of a different character this does not break up the flow of the story, nor does it add any confusion as to who did what, or where they are.

The characters in this novel are quite unique. Lynch produc
