recommends it for:
Dog owners, dog trainers, dog breeders, dog walkers, dog lovers
Even if you don't own a dog, this is very interesting to read, especially if you are one of those people addicted to information. This book gave me a deeper understanding of how dogs work, and what makes them work. The part about dog psychology, is even more interesting than human psychology, and far less depressing. Dogs are complex creatures.

recommends it for:
those wishing to be the alpha dog of their family.
This book gives the reader a look into the mind of dogs. People considering getting a puppy/dog should read this book and they will be happier with their choice. They will also have a better understanding of why their dog behaves the way he does. There is an excellent section in the back of the book on how to train your dog that looked very effective.

From what I can tell, this is a (dare I say) classic text on dog psychology written by a vet in the 70's. I bought this dog so that I could figure out why my dog was acting like a psycho.
Needless to say, it appears that dogs are almost as complicated as human beings.
