Katie has found true family living with her foster parents while her mother serves a short sentence in prison. She has accepted Christianity, has found her place in the local high school, and has some great friends, even one that she is hoping will become her boyfriend. Then her mother shows up unexpectedly thinking she can just take her daughter home and Katie doesn't know if there will be a happy ending for her.

If I were a fan of contemporary teen fiction, this would be my new favorite book. It is laugh-out-loud funny and but deeply poignant when it comes to how Katie feels about her druggie mom. Jones hits the teen voice right on with all its confusions between right and wrong and which boy she likes. Foster grandmother, Maxine, is a stitch.

Okay, I really don't know what to say. I'm totally speechless. This book is simply indescribable. There were so many unexpected twists and turns, making this book totally amazing! I was pulled into a fantastic journey with Katie Parker, and it was almost heartbreaking to see it end. I laughed, I cried, and I absolutely enjoyed every single moment reading this series. And I do not regret picking up these books. What more is left to be said?

Katie Parker’s past closes in on her in The Big Picture, Jenny B. Jones’ final volume of A Katie Parker Production. Katie’s mom gets out of rehab and wants Katie back. The Scotts drive Katie out to Middleton, Texas, to her mother’s mobile home and her new life—or old life, depending on how things go. Katie leaves the Scotts, her best friend, Francis, and her boyfriend, Charlie, and sets forth on a new journey, hoping her mom is ready to make their family work.

I was lucky enough to be present at the ACFW conference last year when Jenny B. Jones won several awards. All were well deserved. Her writing style is light and fun and when Jenny B. tackles some tough situations, she does so with humor and love. Her characterization is so right on I feel like I'm inside the head of a teenage girl. Thanks Jenny B. for taking me back to high school and fun filled days. If you like a light read that might just make you laugh out loud, you'll love Jenny B.'s books.
I read all three Katie Parker books back to back, and was sorry to see the series end. There is a lot of potential for a fourth book, and I hope someday that will happen. Jones does a great job of showing the complicated relationship Katie has with her mother, the heartbreak of being taken from her foster parents (who she has grown to love) and the roller coaster relationship she has with Charlie. Thoroughly entertaining fiction for both young and old; highly recommended for all high schoolers (...more
This was the third book in a series, and though it was great as a stand-alone novel, I wish I'd begun with the first book. I loved Katie Parker, especially her humour, and the witty repartee she has with foster grandmother Maxine. The ends tied together maybe a little too neatly, but that's generally par for the course in teen fiction. Katie's faith in God was woven into the story in a natural way, not preachy at all. I'm hoping for more in the series, though I'm not sure what turns the story wo...more
I really enjoyed reading the 3rd book in the Katie Parker series! I caught myself laughing out loud throughout the book. I'll never understand how authors can be this funny and come up with this stuff, it is pure talent! Katie Parker is a character that you continue to love throughout the series. She goes through REAL challenges and learns big lessons. The series would be a great present for teenage girls!
This is an amazing ending to the Katie Parker Production! At some parts I couldn't stop laughing, and at others I wanted to cry. Everything was wrapped up well. Favorite characters-- definitely Maxine and Frances.

Great ending to the Katie Parker trilogy, and in my opinion, the best of the three! I really, really wanted Katie and Charlie to get together, but he never really cared about her as much as he cared about Chealsea. And the Tate guy was so sweet and awesome, he was always there for Katie, he was perfect for her. ;)

Four-time Carol Award winner Jenny B. Jones writes Christian Fiction romance with equal parts wit, sass, and untamed hilarity. Since writing for both women and teens leaves her with very little free time, she believes in spending her spare hours in meaningful, intellectual pursuits, such as watching E!, going to the movies and inhaling large buckets of popcorn, and writing her name in the dust on...more
