These large format books are very popular with my beginning readers (PreK-1). Two to three sentences per page offer simple facts and the opposite page presents an attention grabbing photograph. I sometimes use them to teach non-fiction text features to lower grades. They have a table of contents, glossary, headings, and an index. Also included is an access code for for crafts, games, videos, and more.
