This was such a fun book to read! Lacy and Lucas were so great together, especially when they were trying to get the better of the other through a battle of wits. Humourous plot and comments plus very smooth writing kept me glued to this book. Ireland did a wonderful job of turning prissy Lacy and devious Lucas into two characters who engaged me from page one and had me rooting for them within several chapters. Liz grew up in a little bitty town in East Texas called Martins Mill. As a child she loved animals, so she raised rabbits and didn't think all that much of reading until her third grade teacher, Mrs. Sides, read The Yearling aloud in class. Books about animals! She was hooked.

She attended high school in San Antonio and after graduation attended Southern Methodist University, where she earned a BFA
