The end of a very intense and interesting continuity series.

Josh and Serena go under cover as a couple who want to adopt a baby from the baby smuggling ring. It's extremely hard for both of them though, because there is tension between them due to the guilt they feel over the death of Serena's brother who was Josh's partner when he was murdered.

All through the series I was back and forth about who the leak at the Marshal's office was. I was happy to find I was wrong! And in the end the questio

U.S. Marshall Serena Summers is aloof and distant toward her partner U.S. Marshall Josh McCall. She blames him for the death of her brother. They are working an illegal adoption ring case together and get asked to pose as a undercover married couple. The put their dislike and distrust of each other aside to find out who is kidnapping babies and p
I enjoyed Undercover Marriage. Serena and Josh are likeable characters who feel a lot of strain between them, because Serena blames Josh for the death of her brother, Daniel. Now, Serena and Josh are partners in the U.S. Marshalls and must go undercover as a married couple. I was a little frustrated with Serena early in the book being so unwilling to forgive Josh for so long, but I do recognize that it was necessary in order to make her “wake up” to the reality that God does not want her to be u ...more

Serena is still not over her brother's death. She wraps herself in a cocoon and won't let anyone inside, won't let her emotions escape. She especially doesn't want Josh to get any closer, the man she believes helped cause her brother's death by not picking up his phone. Yet when Serena has to go undercover with Josh, she has to be married to him in her fake persona. While the two try to uncover an illegal adoption ring

U.S Marshal Josh McCall and Serena Summers were partnered up as pretend husband and wife to investigate an illegal adoption ring. This was the last thing Serena wanted. Being his partner was bad enough but now she had to pretend to be in love with him. She blamed Josh for her brother's death even though Josh wasn't really the cause. But you couldn't blame her for blaming him. Even though she blamed him, her feelings for him before her brother's death were still there. She had always admired and

#6 Witness Protection Continuity.

It's past time to round-up the ring leaders of the baby smuggling ring.

And find the department leak.

The chief has put the 2 people he trusts from department to go undercover as a married couple desperate for a baby, going through the Perfect Family Adoption Agency.

The problem?

US Marshal Serena Summers blames US Marshal Josh McCall for her brother's death. He wasn't there as back-up. If he was there, her brother might not have died.

Josh is carrying a load of guil

Recommends it for: anyone that likes suspense
This series, "Witness Protection", starring the U.S. Marshals Service, definitely deserves a ten star rating! I hated to see it come to an end with Undercover Marriage. It was amazing to read about the baby smuggling and illegal adoption rings that are more numerous than one could ever imagine. Even though this series was a continuity by six of the most wonderful Christian writers, with #1 book coming out in Jan., it was easy to read and did not get confusing. The ladies did an outstanding job o ...more
Undercover Marriage was the last book in the Witness Protection Series. It wrapped up unsolved items from Family In Hiding book before this one. The suspense, intrigue, guilt and the romance. U.S. Marshals Josh McCall and Serena Summers were trying to bring down the baby kidnapping/adoption ring. Serena also blamed Josh for her brother being killed since he didn't answer his phone when her brother was calling him. They do find out who did kill him. There was tension between the two because Seren ...more

A good wrap-up to a 6 book continuity....

This wasn't one of the best LIS series--a little stilted & drawn-out, and it's storyline could've been resolved much faster!

However, Terri Reed wrote a delightful story wrapping up all the loose ends left dangling by the previous authors. And a happy ending for Serena & Josh was also in order!

Worth the read...but only if you'd read the previous 5 books.
Terri Reed gave a presentation to our writing chapter and offered us free copies of her book. I love "undercover marriage" romance storylines so I was thrilled!

This is a fun fast read. The couple has chemistry, the suspense storyline of rescuing stolen babies keeps you flipping the pages and the author also layered in an unsolved murder. There was a lot going on in this quick read!
One of the best LI Suspense books I've read lately! Terri Reed did a wonderful job with tying up this series. I think I especially liked it because Josh and Serena had a relationship and issues that made sense. There wasn't a lot of rationalization of their struggles, trying to convince the reader of their plausibility, they were just there, and it worked.

Definitely my favorite in the entire series. I do have to say I really wasn't surprised who the leak was within the Marshals. I sort of had him pegged from book one. The flow of the story was great. I was glad to see differences worked out and another case solved as well by the end. Awesome job on this story.
This is the sixth and final book in the Witness Protection series.. All the authors did a great job of writing this series and this book really brings everything together.. There's updates on all the characters from the other books at the end of this one and I love that.. Great Book and Great Series!!

A great ending of the witness protection series. Terry does a great job pulling the six books together. You'll love this book and the whole series.
John Hanscom
A pretty standard story for this genre, and, as it was the last of a six part series, it should have ben FAR more exciting.
