I feel like I am wrapped in a cyclone. Everything is whirling around me, drawing the air out of my lungs and filling me with the best kind of turmoil. Every time his tongue slides against mine, a prickle in my gut tells me how right we are together. How much I need David. How much I need us.

I hope the cyclone never stops.

WOAH. My mind is blown! This book is wildly addictive and one of the most original, suspenseful and sexybooks I've read this year! It's intense and unputdownable. Once you start reading, you won't be able to stop!!

So before anything, you should know that this book has a cliffhanger. But wait!!!! Don't run away. Hear me out. I am literally the most cliffhanger-phobic person you can imagine. I hear that word whispered and I'm usually already running in the other direction. But I was feeling advent

Intense. Riveting. Captivating. Sexy. Suspenseful. Fascinating. Disturbing. And shocking.

Those are just a few words to sum up this mind-blowing read. A few hours after having finished it, I am still reeling from the emotions that I went through while reading this story. It's been a long time since my heart has beaten so fast while reading an epilogue and I already know this story will stay with me for a long time.

If you've read the blurb of the story, you

What a freaking nightmare!! (both in a good and a bad way) And that freaking prologue! It sucked me in like a vacuum cleaner...

Too bad it all ended there for me. This book had tremendous potential. TREMENDOUS! This could be a six star book for me because this book is a mindfuck in the making, which apparently never moved from the "in the making" stage... Gah! I could cry right now!

I can’t stop thinking about this story! It’s a doozy of an ending (although the prologue gives readers a heads up on where this first book would stop). I think the author did a fantastic job story telling because I did read with my heart pounding for a good majority of this book. I did however have a slight issue with one little portion of the ending (beta reader in me) and I wrote to her about it as well as an idea of release date of next book. I received a pretty generic respons

I still don't know what to think about this book. It was a page turner, suspenseful, original and intense. I was wrapped up in Emma and David. Stressed and confused. I just didn't know what to think. I liked David. I was falling for him, but his past had me terrified.

"I guess we are pretty great together. For a couple of fucked-up creeps, anyway."

I don't want to go into too much, from the prologue alone the reader will have a good idea of what to expect. P

SALE ALERT!!! --- 0.99$ until November 5th.

Oh, boy... What was that?
I am so happy that I got a chance to read Push by Claire Wallis - not only that it has completely unexpected and fresh premise in the ever growing pile of new adult novels that get to be published every day, but also it has that twisted and dark feeling that I love so much.

Why should you read it?
If you are in that group of readers that thinks how we need more diversity in new adult genre, I think you'd appreciate this book. I se

I’ll be honest. I decided to read Push because quite a few of my Goodread friends loved it and the second book is now out, so why not. I jumped in not having any idea what the book was about and after the prologue I was

Now I’ve convinced myself that there is some strange twist that going to come out and what we read in the prologue wasn’t what it seems.

As the book goes on we learn a lot about both Emma and David (the hero and heroine) through flashbacks, and let me tell you…these flashb

I think this is one of those few reads I don't need too much time to meditate on what I thought about it in the end, and this will end up being a short-ish review because honestly: I'm tired of this. This book represents one of the reasons why I tend to detest new adult - not so much in totality, because there are awesome writers in the genre writing about awesome things, but for what some choose to promote with it - it's utter B.S. to tell you the truth. And it's little wonder why people get so ...more

I will give the author something, I do not believe I have read a book with the same storyline before.
I honestly think regardless of the ending that this book could of and should of been so much better. The story didn't work for me & also some parts of it caused some serious eye rolls. The romance was far too rushed for the ending to be believable for me. I was literally wanting to smash my kindle with a fucking rock because of how stupid I found the story.

Push was an addictive and shocking romance. It was all kinds of wrong and I’m still not sure how I want it all to turn out, part of me wants a HEA if that’s even possible. Part of me is screaming RUN! Run far and run fast!

Emma is fresh out of college and starting a promising career as an engineer in a new town. Far away from her evil stepfather and the family forever changed by his existence. This is where she meets David, the calm, controlled and cocky apartment manager and maintenance guy. Em

When I picked this up I didn't really know what to expect, I definitely wasn't expecting what I got. This is a dark tale of a damaged man who is seeking love, but love isn't good enough - he needs proof.

Emma has escaped a tough upbringing, with a nasty stepfather and two brothers who don't give a damn. She was exposed to porn from a young age and raped with the consent of her brothers and these cruel events show in her adult behaviour. She is a bit of a strange one. She meets David when

Then..

I'll be brief, because quite honestly your better off knowing very little about this story before diving in. This book is different. Yes, its a cliffy. Yes, you should read it regardless. There's so much fuckedupness. But damnit, it's so good.

The prologue pulls you right in.

The book is about Emma, a 22 year old who has moved to a new city for her new job. She meets David, the building maintenance guy. Now, these two will go from zero to ten

Which of the following elements can be found in this NA book?

a) The heroine is TSTL, can’t stop crying
b) LCs are too fucked-up to love.
c) Miscommunication that got my eyes rolling and pissed me off
d) Man-whore hero
e) Never use google and no common sense
f) None of the above

My answer is f)

This is why this debut novel with a fresh plotline deserves credits.
Steam? Yes.
Violent? No.
Twisted? Yes.

The storyline is a bit dragging in some area, but the suspense hinted in the prologue never fades away. I d

This book. I'm not sure now to rate it. I definitely was captivated and couldn't get enough of the story. It's super well written and the characters are complicated, imperfect and interesting. Parts of the story annoyed me like unsafe sex (pet peeve with all these irresponsible idiots) but it all came together in the end.

Be warned there is a cliffhanger. Shit I'm exhausted after reading this so soon after Monster in his eyes by J.M. Darhower. I think I need to read some fluffy crap to recuperat

More reviews and bookish fun on Deadly Darlings!

This was my first time trying to read a new adult suspense novel, and I'm pretty surprised. It definitely succeeded in taking fucked up (in a good way) to a whole new level forme, if that's how we're going to look at things.

Really, this story is all kinds of crazy. I don't want to spoil anything for you guys, but let me just tell you this: the line "David has his own chilling past" from the synopsis does not do this chilling past any justice. It sh

Emma has escaped the hold her stepfather had on her; out of college, living on her own, starting her first real job. When she lets the man with the tool belt into her apartment her life is about to change.

David is a little bit cocky, secretive and all sorts fucked up. He knows that he wants the redhead that lives two floors down, he knows that he wants her to need him - to love him, but David isn't quite capable of accepting love, at least not in a normal way. His past has led his life down a

No. Unacceptable. I will refer you to my review of Escaping Reality - though I don't feel quite as strongly about this one.

I have no idea why so many people liked this pointless mindfuck of a book. Okay, I partially do. It's like Claire Wallis said: Oh, you like tortured, tattooed bad boys? I will see you one bad boy and raise you a fuckload of crazy. *insert maniacal chuckle*

Both of these characters are incredibly unwell - to be fair, each had very good reason to be, but still. There'

I finished PUSH a week ago and have been trying to write my review ever since. Which tells you a lot about the book and the fact it's stayed with me even though I've read 2 books since then. I flew through it; I even woke up early to finish it before going to the office, so my initial "Oh My God" reaction was pre-caffeine. (And it takes a lot for me to react to anything pre-caffeine!)

As far as the story goes, it's quite dark and in the end reads more like a psychological thriller to me than an

Yawn. This book has been getting such great reviews that I never expected to be bored but I was, nothing about this held my interest. David seemed like a creeper, Emma annoyed me, and the only character I liked was Matt. I just got too bored with this - I wasted most of my time for reading this weekend trying to finish this but I just couldn't.

Well this is a difficult book to review. I was warned not to read reviews on it and that was good advice now that I have finished and looked at some of the negative reviews!

This book is about David (who unfortunately can't really be called a romance hero because of what he did/does!) and Emma. Both didn't have the best of childhoods but they meet as adults and although I wasn't sure about Emma when I first started reading it, she definitely grew on me. I would say that if you start to read it an

This book just blew my mind!!! It grabbed me from the prologues and just couldn't put it down. For me this book was more than a New Adult book, it was a great psychological thriller with some elements of suspense. It's a great love story , but not a romance.

Usually I don't like to read a cliffhanger book. I don't like to

This was my first Claire Wallis read, but it won't be my last, because it ended with TO BE CONTINUED.... This book is a total mind 'F'. David & Emma are both broken damaged people, they're two of the same. They recognize their own craziness in each other. I'm not going to say much because I don't want to ruin it for anyone else. But if I have to pick one word I am feeling right now it would have to be annoyed. Yep sorry. I am. So Husband and I have been watching Dexter on Netflix, right? And we literally just finished Season 4's finale about the same time that I was around the 70% mark for Push. Season 4 has an epic finale and despite wanting to return to Push to see how it all ends, I needed to see Episode 1 of Season 5 for some closure on Season 4's ending. Wow. Just wow. I say all of that to say that I saw some similarities betweenDexter and Push.

Without giving too much away we know from the description that David'

Enamored with the process of creating messy characters filled with imperfections and wicked inclinations, Claire believes that you don’t actually have to like a character to fall in love with them – a good story, after all, is best served with a hearty side of evil (just ask Disney).
