Tawny can do paranormal. I highly enjoyed this book. Once I started it was hard to put down. I loved the legend behind the town of Rossdale. They are a small town and they have the busy bodies that come along with it. Miki has to get away to try to control her powers and Rossdale is the place. But with the towns people giving her the most unsavory welcome and the chemistry she has with Gideon it's going to be an interesting stay. Throw in a curse and an evil witch things are going to get really ...more
In There’s A New Witch in Town by Tawny Weber, Miki is a witch who denounced her powers in order to marry a mortal. While Miki was the perfect wife, her husband only wanted the perfect image to keep rising up the corporate ladder, her included. But when he decided that he wanted a Barbie doll and not Miki any more he asked her for a divorce on her birthday! He expects her to be calm about it, not that she would rant and unfortunately curse him. For the moment he told her he no longer wanted to b ...more

Recommends it for: everyone
This is not your expected Tawny Weber book. You're used to seeing her SEAL series. That made it even more exciting for me to read this book.
This book is about a small town that was developed by a man and woman who believed in magic. Nowadays, the town is falling apart and everyone in the town either still believes in magic and lives on the other side of the lake or, the people who still live in town who choose not to believe in magic. (Or don't admit to it!) The townspeople are rude to the point

This is not the first time reading this author but this is a different genre I am reading from her. This one shows exactly how talented of a writer she really is if she can also go from one to another genre and still keep a reader captivated. If anyone has read any of my reviews they will quickly learn I adore the paranormal it is truly a escape to the unknown that has become the norm since I read it alot. This one is a cute quirky witch who after a failed marriage has gone back to being herself ...more
This isn't a normal Tawny Weber book, and I loved it! Instead of a story about Seals, this is an emotional and entertaining story about Miki Lansing, a witch who's powers have gone haywire because she puts a curse on her soon to be ex-husband. To get away, she decides to move to her ex-husband's rental house in another state, which is now her's. Once there, she finds the house is dilapitated and needs major repairs. The small town was blessed by a witch many years before, saying that faith, peac ...more
I love Tawny Weber’s books, and I have to say I love this one just as much as her other books. This book is wonderful; it has humor, romance and witches. Miki is a witch who gave up her powers when she got marries. On Miki’s birthday her husband asks her for a divorce, as soon as he tells her that he doesn’t want to be married anymore, she feels her powers return. Miki is so upset at her husband that she puts a spell on him and then doesn’t know how to take the spell off. Miki decides that she n ...more
Normally, I don't read paranormal books; however being a huge Tawny Weber fan I wanted to read There's A New Witch in a Town. I am glad I did. This book has humor, history, witches, spells and love. Miki's husband asked her for a divorce because he is in a passionate affair with her business partner. Miki is devastated and leaves her home in California for Rossdale. Before she goes she leaves her ex with a spell that only works in public! The town of Rossdale is on the verge of extinction becaus ...more

When I hear the name Tawny Weber the first thing that comes to mind is her Uniformly Hot Seals series, so you can imagine my surprise and ultimate delight when I discovered she also writes in the paranormal genre. I was granted the privilege of receiving a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review. I knew that she is a good author, but I was not sure what to expect from her branching out into this genre. After completing There’s A New Witch in Town I knew beyond a reasonable doubt that ...more

First off Thank you to Tawny Weber for providing me an ARC copy of this story so I could bring you this review.

This story was soo good that I am finding myself in needs of even more. Ms Weber did a fantastic job with this story. I am not normally a paranormal romance reader, but it was so good that I can't seem to get enough of it. I hope that Ms. Weber plans to turn this into a series because I would love to see these characters again.

I purchased the Dangerous Dozen boxed set and this book was one of them. I don't normally buy sets because I don't know all the authors, but this set is proven to be a great one.
Miki Davenport was married to Perry. Ryan her brother was also a witch. Miki gave up her powers when she married a mortal. At dinner the night of her birthday Perry he announces he wants a divorce. Miki was floored, a bell rang and she got her powers back. She cast a spell on him, which was great.

After being told by her husband he wants a divorce, Miki makes a move to a small village of Rossdale. The unusual thing is Miki is a witch. Sure she gave up her magic when she married, but she wants her powers back. As she slowly regains her powers, be it through many humorous attempts, her life acceptance and adjustment in small town is also slow. Meeting Gideon was a good thing, however that brought more curses and an evil witch in Miki’s life. Tawny has wrote an above average paranormal book. ...more

Tawny Weber's new book THERE’S A NEW WITCH IN TOWN was so fun! Mikaela is a witch with a self -centered husband. She has given up her magical powers to make him happy. This is such an awesome story don't miss it, when Miki Lansing who is a witch breaks up with her mortal husband her powers return you will be smiling with the curse she puts on her ex so she moves to a little town for some rest and healing with the help of her brother and sister but this town has history with magic and when she meets Gideon the sparks fly but Gideon has been divorced as well and his ex was a witch as well and the towns people do not welcome strangers into their lives easily. I absolutely love this cover, and the story was great. I give it 4.5 stars, and I’m rounding up. I love all things magic, so I’m partial to witch stories, but I also thought Tawny did a great job describing the struggles of a witch who gave up her magic try to live a normal life with a human husband, who had no idea of Miki’s background. The story really gets interesting after Miki gets a divorce, and moves to Rossdale, Idaho where she meets Gideon. It’s a good mix of paranormal, romance, and ac ...more

My Review:

4.6 Star

I received the book for an honest review.

Not your normal Tawny book. But it made it more special as you read it and fall in love with not only the town but all the different characters. Witches, spells, evil exs this book has something for everyone.

You get pulled in from the very first page and the more you learn about everyone the more you want to keep reading.

With this being a small town you get the small town feel in the story. You get the people who know everyone or at le
Loved this book!! Miki is a witch who denounced her powers to marry a mortal. With her divorce, her powers return. Oh what a curse for the ex (hehe). Moving to Idaho, she is trying with the help of her family to control her powers, and find her calling. In comes Gideon to be her contractor and wow what sparks. Gideon instantly knows something is different about Miki. Being that his ex is a witch though, he has no idea that Miki is one also. Magic is deeply rooted in this town and with finally ac ...more
A very satisfying first attempt from a new paranormal author. No risque' or blunt sex scenes so anyone can read it. The story starts out slow and gradually builds in suspense and character development. Tawny is one of my favorite erotic romance authors and it was a great change of pace to read something different from her. I will be looking forward to more of this genre' from her. This book will be sold individually and as part of the Dangerous Dozen box set. I received a copy of this book as a ...more
There's a new witch in town is a story about new beginnings, finding one's path and fighting for a greater cause. The protagonis, Miki, coming from a family of powerful witches, is a divorcee who arrives in town for an overdue change of scenery, after having lost her husband and her business. Here she will find freedom, love and a renewed confidence in her skills that will bring her to overcome the innate hostility of the townspeople and the menace waiting to annihilate her new "home". It was a ...more

Can Tawny Weber pull off small-town and paranormal as well as red-hot sexy reads? You bet she does!
This is a departure for Ms. Weber, this novel being a paranormal romance, and much longer than what we’re used from the author: it’s over 350 pages, and none of those pages are filler. Miki, Mikaela Lansing, a California girl, moves to small-town Rossdale after a messy divorce leaves her almost destitute. The villagers don’t take well to newcomers and she’s no exception. The town is going to the do

Tawny does it again!!!!! If you love her Navy SEAL series you must try "There's a New Witch in Town." It is an EXCELLENT humorous
romance with a paranormal twist! Mikki gave up her powers as a witch when she married but now her husband wants a divorce and
Miki's powers are returning and she has no control over them! To helpget them under control she moves to thetown of Rossdale
and discovers that she also must save the town! GREAT characters and storytelling makes for a GREAT read!!!!!
Available as part of The Dangerous Dozen Romantic Suspense Boxset.

I loved this story, it's a feel good romance set in a small town with a magical background. This one had a little bit of everything and my emotions went through the ringer, I loved the humour and light heartedness of it all. It definitely brightened my afternoon!

This is a different kind of book for Tawny, but I loved it. I hope we will hear more from Miki and Gideon. Miki gave up her magic once and it didn't work. Gideon tried to embrace magic before and it didn't work. Once they embraced each other, it worked. Good story.
It present the real world of human behaviour. You know what to do, but you simply don't, the same with the truth, you know it but you don't want to accept it. Honesty is the best and sour medicine.
I loved the banter between Miki and Gideon. It was so much fun to read. And oh, the humor in this book...I absolutely loved it! I can't count the times I laughed out loud because it was so funny!
I loved this book to beginning to end. It was a great romances novel I love the plot and the twist and turns who doesn't love a great witch book

Another great book by Tawny although the Seal books are still my favorite. The characters were well developed and it was just a great read.
