This small book of short poems is big with craft, wisdom, and humor.

Short poems are difficult to write. I know that having spent some years writing micropoetry.

In Jupiter's Child, the small poems will delight from the first:

look out

(I love that little Yoda inversion in the second line. To me, it says the poet isn't taking himself too seriously in face of the inevitable fall. And what is the inevitable fall?)

Jude McPherson's Jupiter's Child is a cosmic gem of poetry in the round. Filled with wit and wisdom it is a delightful read and well worth adding to your library. Jude's voice is small in a grand and delicate way while managing to be bigger on the inside like The Doctor's T.A.R.D.I.S. I hear Frank Sinatra singing "Fly me to the moon, and let me play among the stars" when I'm reading Jupiter's Child.
