while i did enjoy the book, most of the recipes were not very palate-friendly-- or maybe just not MY palate. what i did absolutely love were the little blurbs of various projects in between recipes. i think the book would have been better had donata included pictures & how-to's of these projects, as it would have given more life full to the overall theme and ambiance she seems to be grasping at in this book.

I could rave about this book all day. I love the recipes, I've tried most of them and had so many compliments. The real reason I'm in love with this book though, is all the other fun things she puts in between menus. This book is about embracing the seasons, living each day to its fullest, and savoring the good things in life. Granted, we can't all do the fun, crafty, time-consuming ideas but this isn't your typical Martha Stewart book that makes you feel guilty for NOT being able to accomplish...more
