Cute story about Cari Harris, a descendant of Cupid, who unfortunately doesn't have the best luck when trying to make a love match. Her own heart was broken several years earlier when the young man she was dating left their hometown and only recently returned after seven years. We learn a little bit about the town and some of its residents and what makes the town so unique.

I thought this was a good story, there were a few laugh out loud mome

Okay,th book. Its called 'Broken Arrows'. Which i think is a really cute and appropriate title, given that th story revolves around a Cupid's descendant. Okay, warning because there might be spoilers in here. In summary,th book is about a girl,Carissa
,who is a descendant of Cupid, which also means that she is in charge of putting soulmates together. However, unlike Cupid, this girl is a real klutz, always making things worse. Then comes th guy,who left town and broke her heart, and then decides to come

So when I read the Title and the Synopsis of the book it immediately reminded me of the TV show “Once Upon a Time” (which I love by the way) and it actually turned out to be kind of similar to it. Yay!

The whole story takes place in this town where everyone has some kind of a fairy tale ancestor. Like tooth fairies and friggin’ Santa Claus! It was really super cute! Cari, our protagonist, is the daughter of Cupid. So her job is to see the aura between couples and bring them together. Unfortunatel

This book is a light, sweet read about a small town that’s…special. Fable, Georgia is a magical town that outsiders can feel is different. All of the residents are descendants from the mythical fairy tale creatures, like Cupid and the Tooth Fairy.

Cari is a Cupid – she knows when two people are meant to be together, and she has the ability to get them together…but she is notoriously known as the town screw up – and for good reason. She has made many mistakes – and she makes yet another one, on gr

This first book centers on The Broken Arrow Inn, which is owned and run by Cari. To increase business she decides to host a Murder Mystery weekend event. The escapades that ensue are comical and entertaining in the character driven plot as she tries to stay ahead of mishaps. Cari is an interesting character and her misfortunes were not all her own making. Best friends Roxy and Hope were fun additions who helped round Cari’s character out. When Cari’s old high school boyfriend, Mike, returns to ...more

Broken Arrows is a cute, fun fantasy story with adorable, quirky characters. It takes place in a small town called Fable, GA in which most residents are descended from supernatural beings such as elves, fairies, and even Cupid. The story just flies by, and I was done before I knew it. My only real beef was that I didn't want it to end.

Cari is a direct descendant of Cupid and can see a couple's auras when they are soul mates and

The Good:

Broken Arrows was a really fun quick read. At only 174 pages, I flew through this one as I usually read books that are much longer. I feared at first that there wouldn’t be enough time to fully develop a good story in such a short period of time but my fears were soon laid to rest.
Chelsey Butler manages to create a fun and whimsical setting complete with a town named Fable, a menagerie of supernatural beings, a cozy bed and breakfast and some great main and side characters.

The summary of Broken Arrows by Chelsey Butler was so intriguing, I just had to review the book. It was a whimsical, cute little read. I am glad I got a spot on this tour!

Likes:

The town of Fable was so neat, it was a really unique concept. Although a tad bit cheesy, it was still a super cute concept.

Cari was fun! She owns a bed and breakfast plus is the offspring of Cupid. She was funny, inventive, a little aloof, but lots of fun as a main character.

The side characters, Roxy, Hope, Emma, Carter,

Broken Arrows is a cute story with an interesting premise.

Cari Harris is a descendent of Cupid and lives in a quaint little town known as Fable, GA. She owns a bed and breakfast and has decided to host a monthly murder mystery event in hopes of increasing business.

With her cupid descendent abilities she is able to tell if her guests are soul mates and is able to “help” them on their path to finding each other. Unfortunately, she sometimes has problems getting her potions to the right people.

This was a super cute and very quick read. It was easy to cruise through and held my attention the whole time. Cari is a great character. She’s a descendant of Cupid and is suppose to give potions when people are near their soulmates. But she has a tendency to screw things up. She’s got a fun voice and I couldn’t help but enjoy her.
Cari lives in a small town that is filled with paranormal people. This isn’t brought up too much yet, just mentioned, so I’m really curious to learn more about the to

Cari, the daughter of the late Cupid, was a thriving bed and breakfast owner. She wished that one day she would have the powers of her father when matching couples. Unfortunately, she only seemed to mess things. Her murder mystery weekend at the Inn was no different. When she tried to give a couple destined to be together a potion, the wrong people got the potion. This made a heap of trouble for all. Just when things couldn’t get any worse the police were called; and not just any police, but her ...more

Ugh! Really? I want to go stomp and throw a tantrum like a petulant five year old! Just as I was thinking, hey this is totally going somewhere, and I got settled deep into my comfy couch...

WHAM! THE END!

What? Come on!

At only 170 pages obviously this was a really easy read but it was more than that, the plot is cute, the characters are just adorable, there is a ton of drama but nothing overly crazy that would make me want to back away. All in all it was quite charming. Which is fabulous because o

This is a delightful story. I must admit to finding it a tad slow to begin with but I soon got into the rhythm of the book and I really started to enjoy it.
This is a sweet and charming tale about a young woman who lives in perhaps the most likeable town in the US! I loved the idea that all the inhabitants are descended from mythical creatures although I would have liked to have read more about this side to the town. Currently, there are only a few minor references to it so I hope the sequel has

I received a copy from the author for review. I really, really liked this book.

This is a fast, fun and sweet read about Cari Harris, a descendant of Cupid, who is somewhat lacking in her matchmaking abilities. She lives in the town of Fable, Georgia where she owns an inn. While hosting a murder mystery weekend, her attempts at matchmaking go wrong, and in her attempt to right the wrong, more problems are created. Adding to the drama of the weekend, Mike (an ex-boyfriend) has returned to town and

This was a great mystery that was well written and entertaining. Cari the main character is likeable, and interesting and she sure has a lot on her plate! As a note, I would also love to have a bed and breakfast so I am a little be jealous of her job! Overall, she is a character you can relate to and enjoy which for me always makes the book more enjoyable. The flow of the book overall is pretty good, there was one or two points that dragged a little bit for me but overall it all worked well ...more

From breakout author Chelsey Butler comes Broken Arrows. In an enchanted town of Fable, Georgia, where all the inhabitants are descendants of a fantasy character, there is Cari, one "clumsy" Cupid.

Broken Arrow Inn is hosting a murder mystery weekend. With so much going on, Cari does not have time for a match making attempt to go wrong just now, but as things usually do for her, her attempts go awry. With an inn full of guest and a mis-matched mistake to fix, what else can go wrong?
