The copy I read was the first edition - nothing like the photo used for describing this book on Goodreads. Incidentally, the copy that came from the library triggered a memory - my own mother had either purchased this book or occasionally borrowed it from our library when I was growing up. The focus is on taking the Catholic liturgical cycle (Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, etc.) and putting belief into practice at home. I love this book! Mary Reed Newland celebrates Catholic family traditions with a gentle sense of humor. We have the older edition, published about fifty years ago, and I don't know whether this text is exactly the same--but I hope it is. The original text is just sweet, as well as useful.
