I picked this book up because it's set in Buffalo, NY, which is where I live, and I was rewarded with a lot of references to local places (many of which have sadly closed or deteriorated in the years since this book was written). I sit here stunned after completing this book.
Such a poetic and yet simplistic force that was far more than what the book description says.

I just got done reading Imani All Mine by Connie Rose porter. It was probably one of the strongest books I have read in a long time. It is about a young teenage girl who finds out she is pregnant. Throughout the book, you will follow Tasha and her baby, and find out what she has to go through.
