Ok but not great

This was a decent little book but there were a few issues. The verb tense shifts from past to present regularly, which makes the book flow poorly. I did like the quotes from Jesse at the beginning of each chapter though. The history part seemed researched well enough, too.

I enjoyed this short book by Larry Berg about Jesse James. I thought it was good for a brief introduction to this historical figure. I think that if you want more details, you would need to rely on a different book, but if you just want basic information and a list of some of his exploits, this is a good beginning.
