Brady took Rita with to the livestock and horse show. While there Brady ran into a friend Travis that he used to do the rodeo circuit with. Travis so happens to be from the same hometown that Rita a.k.a. Randi. Randi did not know Travis so she thought she was safe with her past.

Well Brady had some information he need to share with Rita/Randi. Before they can do that after she tells him what he needed to know there was a knock at the door and nobody sh
In Part 3 of The Rancher and the Runaway Bride Randi and Brady get closer and secrets come out making this part of the book exciting. The way Mallery worked everything out with the guys with guns chasing Randi added to the suspense.

Generally, I liked the book. Susan Mallery has a fantastic way of storytelling. I really didn't like the 3 parts to this book though. I would rather have the complete story at one time. I have read other books in parts like this but not often. I usually don't pick the

WOW! This was the final book in Susan Mallery's three part section of Harlequin E's first serial, 36 hours, a story told in 36 parts. As of today, all of the first parts of these books are available for free on So much happened in this part that I can hardly believe that it was so short! It starts out at an auction for animals and from there, ACTION PACKED! The way that it ends, it makes me think that the next book in the series, Lightning Strikes, available here ...more
As a rule, I do not like serials. I think books should tell a complete story, not be like a tv show. That said, I was able to get all 3 parts of this at once so I could read Susan's whole story. The romance and story of Randi and Brady were good and I enjoyed it. However, the bigger mystery and reason Randi is running is not resolved - I guess because it's part of the greater 36 hour series. Overall though, Susan does another great job of telling a good story. Since she didn't write the rest of ...more

this is a remake of a book from 1997 - was a good story. Did not like the 3 part concept at all. was not a long book to begin with but to break it down to short stories and then overcharge for it - what is Harlequin thinking????????????????????

These three books were great! They described ranch life very well. Getting Rita/ Randi and Brady together was another story. Two stubborn people, trying to let go of the past-near and not so near past, that is, that they couldn't see the love that was growing between them until almost too late.
