A very cute and slightly steamy, introduction to the series. I loved Cat, Landon (especially Landon!), and Flynn.

I need to read more!

Recommends it for: everyone.
I was given an early copy of this novella for an honest review. This is a novella that will start a series by this author. It is one of the cutest, funniest, most interesting storylines I have read in quite a while, and that's saying something!
This novella is about Cat, a woman who has been working any and every job she can find in order to keep her mother in Oakdale, an exclusive assisted living facility connected to a hospital and cancer center. She meets a man in the coffee shop where she wor

I received this ARC in return for an honest review.

Cat and Flynn jump right off the first page with witty banter. Their dialogue is natural, and creates a fun and funny chemistry right away. Cat's sassy mouth seems to rub off on Flynn very quickly, and their conversations often made me laugh out loud. Their character voices are strong and consistent. Even though they are archetypes, they have warmth and depth to them.

As always, Dakota Cassidy's satellite characters are just as well written. I re
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

This is a new series by Dakota Cassidy, who is best known for her Accidental books -which are amazing, btw. I've been a fan of hers for years, and was very excited to read something completely different from her paranormal stories. This new series is contemporary romance and after reading this introduction to the Call Girls I can safely say Dakota has done it again! I can tell this series is going to be special. She writes characters that you
I was given this ARC for an honest review and here is my honest review. I loved it!! It was a story that tugged at my heart strings. I laughed at Cat's antics. Flynn was definitely a hero from the beginning! and I cried. And then I smiled! A really good story makes you feel..and I felt this story!

I received an ARC of this book and I found it to be an easy and very enjoyable read. I love the characters and Dakota brings them to life with a "true" sense of humor that allows the reader to attach themselves to the characters as though they are real people. I am a fan of the Accidental series by this same author but this is a bit different for her and I have to say she is a very talented author that can write across multiple genres. I love this book and cannot wait for the next one to be rele ...more
I recently read Talk Dirty To Me and really enjoyed myself. I was curious and was told that more Landon was in the prequel so I snatched it up and finally had some time to devour the book. Only 89 pages so it was extremely easy to devour this quickly.

Even though it is a novella Dakota Cassidy packs all the punches of a novel. Although the romance is hot and quick, there is enough time to slow it down in a few places so it didn't feel like insta-love even though in all intents and purposes... it
Talk This Way is a pretty cute novella. It was too short for me to really connect with the characters, but it was a nice distraction. I probably won't read the rest of the books in the series, but reading it was an hour well-spent.

I was given this book in return for an honest review. Cat's mom is in Oakdale nursing home, recovering from an accident that Cat feels responsible for. Cat has sold their home and is trying desperately to keep her job so she can afford to pay the bill for her mother's care. An unfortunate disagreement with another patient's son leads to the loss of her job. This leads her to ex patient, friend, and gazillionaire, Landon, who offers her a job. A crazy job, a job she can't imagine accepting, but a ...more
I gotta say, I've been looking forward to the start of this new series and this novella didn't disappoint! I think the concept of a story about the girls working for a phone sex company is unique and great! This story starts us out with who will now be the head of the company, Cat, after her friend hires and leaves it to her when he knows she needed the job most. Commitment doesn't come easy for Cat, but when paying for her mom's medical bills, she has to do something. Cat has a lot of personali ...more

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. I also purchased this novella from Amazon for my Kindle.

I have long been a fan of Dakota Cassidy's work. You can always count on her to deliver an entertaining and engaging read. This novella, which is the beginning of her new series, is both poignant and funny. The sparks between Cat and Flynn fairly leap off the page. They start out in conflict and end up attracted to each other. Their antics and misunderstandings made me laug
This was a super duper freebie! I really liked the characters. I laughed out, teared up, smiled, got a little aggravated, and pretty much enjoyed myself while reading this. I loved the personalities and the whole feel of this book. This was written really well and a great hook for the series, as it definitely got me wanting to read it. This is fun, sweet, a little sweaty, with great connections and some touching moments. There was a good amount of humor and plenty of sparks that definitely keeps ...more
Imagine my surprise and delight to find this novella at the end of book 3 Talking After Midnight courtesy of my digital copy from Netgalley.

I finally got to go back in time to Call Girls beginnings before the move to Plum Orchard and best of all got to see first hand how Landon Wells touched so many lives in so many ways prior to his death. Cat and Flynn's romance was just icing on the cake as a bonus!

I love Dakota Cassidy. Her books never fail to make me smile, laugh and sometimes cry. And they always, always touch me. I like to think of her as a comfort read. And with the start of this new series.... well that just cements what I've just said.

Talk This Way, has the SNARK from her Accidentally Paranormal Series and the HEART from The Ex Trophy Wives...making it a PERFECT book!

Filled with her trademark humor and larger than life characters, Talk This Way is well worth the read and a promising

I received this ARC for an honest review.

This novella introduces Dakota Cassidy's new series. Cat's mom is in a nursing home and she is working hard to keep her mom's therapy moving forward. Flynn's mom is also in the home for her recovery. Cat and Flynn butt heads over his mother's reading material and sparks fly. Crazy job opportunities, good friends, loss and second chances ensue.

I love Ms. Cassidy's previous contemporary romance series. Her characters grab you and make you love them and thei
I enjoyed Dakota Cassidy's Accidently series so I was very excited to see she was coming out with a new series. I must say I was not disappointed.

Catherine Butler is such an easy down on her luck kind of character it was fun to root for her. She never wanted to get close to anyone due to her past. Landon Wells and Flynn McGrady shows her what love is in different ways.

I really enjoyed the novella and the only thing I was disappointed to see it end. It was one of those books that you laughed and

I received an ARC in return for an honest review. This novella comes out 4/1.

I'm so looking forward to the next book. What a fresh, fun concept. Cat was feisty and made me laugh, and Flynn...hawt damn!!! Landon was a fairy godfather and perfection all rolled into one. I loved his character. Again I will say GREAT concept, I devoured this in a blink of an eye.

I always worry about writing reviews for fear of spoilers. If you enjoy contemporary romance, laughter and sexy time. Put this on you
I received the ARC of this book in exchange for a honest review, from the Author.

Right from the first paragraph you know this is going to be a good book. To say this book is amazing is putting it too mildly. The characters are well thought out and draw you in to loving them as much as you love your favorite Aunt. This book made me laugh out loud in the middle of the night, which earned me a dirty look from the hubby, and cry when it came to the end of the book.

I will be looking forward to more

I just adore Dakota Cassidy and her characters!!! She never disappoints. I laughed. I cried. And I fell in love. This is going to be another fantastic series by one of my favourite authors!!!

I enjoyed this book although I felt it was rushed. It was only around 100 pages and felt like it was very rushed at the end. I was ready to read another 200 pages by this author! I thought the author did a great job developing the characters. They were very relatable and people you would like to meet and be friends with in real life. This book made me giggle and made me cry. Also made me angry when it rushed at the end! I will look for more books by this author.

I was given this ARC for a honest review. I enjoyed this book so much! I loved Cat and her witty, sassy attitude and Flynn with his shy, backwards ways that she tries to break through. I love the banter between them and her relationship with her friends and family is so heartfelt! It was sad in ways, but the happiness that can come from even pain makes it all the greater and the more it can bring everyone together. I would definitely recommend!
I received this ARC in return for an honest review.

Flynn and Cat come from two different places in life, but they find each other through their mothers, who both live in a nursing home. Cat is spunky and humorous. Flynn is solid and falls hard for her. Landon is their saving grace. Through laughter and tears we are introduced to the Call center and a very good story. I can't wait for the next one!
I was given this book for an honest review. I loved this book!! The characters are great!! Flynn's mother is a minor character, but adorable! The story got me teary eyed and made me laugh. I am looking forward to the rest of the series.
I received this ARC in return for an honest review.

Just from this novella, I'm already in love with this series. It has the humor that I love in Dakota Cassidy's books, along with a story that grabs you right from the beginning.
The Siren Review Policy is clearly stated on our site, but this author wanted it stated that this was an advanced reader copy given freely for an honest review. That being stated, let’s get to the good stuff.

I absolutely loved the wonderful, colorful cast of characters that Dakota Cassidy developed for Talk This Way. The main characters Catherine Butler, Flynn McGrady, and Landon Wells were easy to connect with emotionally which made the story even more fun to read.

The dialogue between character
Talk This Way by Dakota Cassidy is the prequal to her new series Plum Orchard.
Although this is a novella, it read like a full novel and I enjoyed reading it.
Cat Butler is a commitment phobic young woman who prefers to think of herself as a free spirit. She is sassy, independent, kind and has the biggest heart when it comes to taking care of others. Her mother is in an expensive rehab facility after falling. Cat wants the best care for her mom and is trying to keep her latest job at a coffee house
Four Stars: A delightful must read novella that sets up a terrific series.

Cat bites her tongue and tries to maintain a pleasant face as she deals with Flynn. She is hanging on to her job at the coffee shop by her fingernails, and if she loses this job, her mother will be kicked out of the rehabilitation center. Flynn is accosting her because she gave his mother, who is recovering from a stroke, romance novels to read. When Cat's irritable boss fires her anyway, she is desperate. Thankfully, she

Cat Butler didn’t believe in fairy tales and happily-ever-after’s. Especially when she already lost her father and her mother was ill with complications that required a specialized treatment center. Very costly and exclusive.
Cat secured a spot for her mother with a payment plan she could try and manage. Hence the problem, Cat had lost more jobs than you could count on one hand. The nursing staff, patients, and doctors all loved Cat. Not to mention most family members, for she was a constant so
More of a 4.5 than a 4.

Wow, I really loved this one. Plot pacing was really well done for the short format and even though it's more of an HEA than an HFN, you don't get the sense that that's a bit hard to believe. The main characters were really sweet together and apart. I think this is one of the few books where despite the main characters being so lovable, a side character TOTALLY stole the show. Oh man, Landon you big ol' sweetheart teddy bear you! I wish I oculd just read about his adventur
First time I have read book by this author. This was a wonderful, emotional storyline and yes I had to get the Kleenex out. Kit-Cat, as she is called was a loving, giving individual. Landon recognized this and took her under his wing. He encouraged her to quit running away in fear and go be with her loved one, Flynn. There were only two draw backs. One was transition section where Landon and Kit-Cat were talking and all of a sudden it cut to Flynn and his mother. It seemed like something was mis ...more
