And for some, it evokes emotions of guilt and shame for failing to be a vibrant witness to unbelievers. For more than forty years, EvanTell, Inc., an evangelism training and ...more

I self identify as an evangelical Christian. Among other things, evangelicals think that studying the Bible and evangelism are really, really important. So it was only a matter of time before someone published the Evangelism Study Bible. Kregel Publications, in cooperation with Evantell and ThomasNelson (the publishers of the NKJV) have published a Study Bible designed to help Christians be a more ‘confident, joyful witness for Christ.’

This Bible seeks to be a tool which will aid us in evangelis

"Christians are made, not born", observed Church Father Tertullian. And over the years, one of the tools the Church has utilized to live out the making of new Christians is evangelism.

Now EvanTell, the ministry training and equipping Christians to share the Gospel, offers The Evangelism Study Bible, meant to offer fresh perspective to the God's Word in the task of making new Christians.

The design of the book: font choice, size, binding, background color (faint gray) was very good. NKJV was a good choice. But sadly this book presents one view of theology that doesn’t even reflect the Biblical text. Baptism is reduced a symbol of something a person does, despite the fact that the Bible shows that there is saving work (God’s) 1 Peter 3:21 and forgiveness (God’s) Acts 2:38-39, Acts 22:16 are tied to Baptism.

I have been involved in evangelism since 1976, and training pastors and co

There are many things I like about The Evangelism Study Bible (TESB). It has a respectable-length concordance (1412-1534); the Zondervan maps are nice (1549-1564); I also like the choice of Bible version (New King James [NKJV]). As well, various items emphasized in the footnotes and features are sound and greatly welcome, among them the following:

•Emphasis that baptism of the Holy Spirit occurs

After my Note-takers Bible letdown, I was so excited to jump into The Evangelism Study Bible which had been touted as a Bible that traced the concept of Biblical evangelism and its mandate from the Old Testament to the New Testament. This Bible is very well put together with a fantastic fishing net motif hardcover and a very concise index of articles. With the nice colored maps, glossary of evangelism terms, and large print but thorough concordance, along with an index for those maps, this ...more

EvanTell, Inc. in their new book, “The Evangelism Study Bible” published by Kregel Publications provides us The Gospel. Clear and Simple.

When I first received The Evangelism Study Bible in the mail, I had no idea where to begin or end in order to write a book review for Kregel. Thank goodness, I could see from the contents and other Bible aides that user friendly would be the perfect term to describe this Bible. I became very interested in reading this Bible and looking through it. My knowledge about the term evangelism is almost nil. It is my desire to describe in a goodly manner the fine points of this Bible.

If you are interested in learning how to share your faith more effectively but aren’t sure how to do so, The Evangelism Study Bible can help from EvanTell and Kregel Publications can help!

The Evangelism Study Bible is a NKJV niche study bible that provides believers with the tools and training they need to properly handle Scripture and to motivate Christians to be a vibrant witness for Christ.

What makes The Evangelism Study Bible special is the collection of in-depth articles that identify evang
This is a wonderful Bible to use in your daily reading and as an encouragement as you endeavor to spread the Gospel! Besides the complete Bible, there are book introductions, over 2600 study notes and devotions that focus on evangelism. The devotions list a certain passage of Scripture and average about half a page. There are also tips throughout that encourage or give helpful advice. Especially fascinating are the full page articles that look at important issues, such as how to use the book of ...more

The Evangelism Study Bible is intended to make the user more comfortable with the idea of spreading the Good News of Christ. While this might sound silly I must say that I really liked the cover and color of this Bible, as someone who is partial to blue this caught my eye right away, but it was the topical information that makes this Bible perfect for anyone looking to strengthen their witnessing skills. One of my favorite features had to be the in-depth articles on crucial issues, which touch ...more

My Thoughts On The Book: As a pastor I love reading and studying different Bibles. When I am preparing a sermon I love to jump between the Common English Bible, NRSV, and NKJV. When I began my reviewing process of this Bible I started with the List of Features in the front of the book. I found highlights and references for each book of the Bible and loved it. This would be extremely helpful for someone who is not familiar with the Bible or someone looking for a specific subject. At the beginning ...more

Fabulous study Bible for anyone with a passion for evangelism. If you have a desire to share the Gospel and don’t know where to start or if you’ve been sharing for years and are looking for a fresh perspective…this is the resource for you!
This hard-back edition is absolutely gorgeous! I LOVE the cover design and the fact that it has a ribbon for marking your place. The font is smaller than I usually like, but the two column page layout makes it easy to read. There are section titles throughout t

Evangelism can be a scary word for a lot of people. The thought of sharing one's faith with a postmodern world that isn't always open to it can be intimidating. With The Evangelism Study Bible, EvanTell, Inc., presents the gospel clearly and simply to make it easy for people to share.

Like other study Bibles, it offers notes throughout on verses that may be challenging for people with additional explanations. A number of pages also provide supportive text on how to be bold when evangelizing and t

This is a great read for any one who can still glean from a point of view that is nor reformed Baptist ! I found some nuggets in this volume! So do I recommend the Evangelism Study Bible for everyone? Well, if you are looking for a Study Bible that will help you dig deep into the Word of God, take note this is not a commentary so that side notes are quite weak. This probably isn’t the Study Bible for you if you want lots of notes about different verses. The Geneva Bible does a much better job ...more

This Bible is full of resources for evangelism. It has hundreds of articles and tips. I found the articles to be very helpful. The hardcover was black letter, which I like. The translation is NKJV which is not my favorite. Also, the works cited are all those from EvanTell and its founder, Dr. Moyer. I would have liked to have a broader spectrum of resources, say from some scientists, for example. However, as it is, the Bible contains a wealth of information and would certainly be very useful for ...more

I found many of the articles to be either a great reminder or a good way to see how evangelism permeates the Bible. Reading this study Bible helps to keep the reader focused on how important it is to practice evangelism every day. Most Christians know the role of evangelism but sometimes need a reminder. The Evangelism Study Bible provides that extra boost to keep us on track.

I strongly recommend getting this Bible.
