This was a very dull book. I lived in HK for many years during the time frame of this story. The author is an excellent writer but the content was very slow to develop with far too much in description and little action.

He has received the Distinguished Service Medal, served as Deputy Special Assistant to President Nixon, was appointed a member of the Reagan Transition Team, and was the 1992 Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate in California.
