Gaius is a serious writer and a keen observer who just happens to write about femdom or female-led relationships. That is not to say that his page-turning tales are not highly erotic, because they are, with compelling and dimensional characters. “Edge” is a coming-of-age tale of intergenerational femdom about a young man who falls under the spell of his mother's friend, the dominant and fascinating, RoseAnne Perez.

Oops! I thought it would be a femdom novel. It is not even close. It is an awkward romance with a lot of cunnilingus. There is some light bdsm play, all consensual and lacking in creativity, switching from femdom to maledom at a whim. Repetitive scenes, suffers of more telling than showing. I never really felt a connexion with the characters, or been aroused while reading. I almost gave up halfway
