This is a wonderfully illustrated storybook, little children who doesn't know how to read can look through this book and 'read' it themselves. A beginning reader can learn to read it as it is a simply written storybook. A few words per page. a fun book

Cute book with great illustrations and few words. Simply explains how a house is built and finished, all the while, a dog is helping with the human house building while working on his own house on the side. In the end, everyone gets to enjoy the results of their labors.

Recommends it for: Pre - Gr 2
Another fun book for a construction storytime. A man AND a woman build a house from the ground up, showing the parts and stages of housebuilding. And a dog helps out and builds his own doghouse, adding humor to the book.

3.5 stars. Simple wording and the illustrations show a house being built from the ground up. Good for a little one who's interested in construction (under two).
Rhythmic, rhyming text builds a house step by step. Ink illustrations bring to mind the Sunday comics from the newspaper. Great read aloud for PreK-2.

A simple book about all the steps involved in building a house. I great read for your little one if one or both parents are in construction or carpentry.
