I read this in preparation for seeing a stage performance of Macbeth next week. It was a fair retelling of the story, with expanded scene description and some quotes from the original, but mostly modern speech paraphrasing. I wanted to get mentally ready to review Shakespeare's original which is up next. I read the original back in high school and have seen a stage performance many years ago. I think this version would be most appreciated by middle and high school students.
