At 1,081 pages this is the longest book I have ever read. It's by the famous astrologist ("Sun Signs") Linda Goodman and is somehwat of an epic poem. A few pages in I found I really enjoyed the metered writing. The book has a chameleon like essence and tends to become the autobiobraphy of the reader. My time with this book provoked big inner shifts as I read. It claims to assist in opening the 3rd eye of the reader. Keeping in mind I totally go for things like that, I'd say it worked!
I never meant to read this all the way through. The size was so unwieldy and the whole poetry thing. . .but I became so invested. . .it just went on and on and on. . .and there I sat on my couch for days pretending I didn't have anything to do except live in this book. A lot of people I've noticed here have called the book magical. Absolutely. Trasnporting. . . enter only if you have some time to give to this, because it is an investment of your imagination and fantasy time.
Reading this book is like spending a month drinking sangria and listening to a Californian astrologer tell you her whimsical-magical interpretation of her own life story... in verse.
I give it three stars because secretly, I wouldn't mind enduring that experience. Keep it next to your canopy bed and burning sage and you'll like it just fine.

This is indeed a rare treasure! My father gave me this in hardcover a few years back and it took me awhile to accept the way it was written, as I'm not used to reading too much poetry. But when I embraced the words and fell into the story, I fell in love. What a stunning, magical book. It is very unique.

I MUST buy this book again. I was really into Linda Goodman age 18 when she spoke about reversing your cellular activity by imagining all your cell spiralling the opposite way to prevent aging. I have to admit I was young and very open. I actually still believe it :)

Linda Goodman assumed the name Linda during World War II for a popular WCOM radio show in Parkersburg that she hosted called Love Letters from Linda. Each show consisted of Linda reading letters written between soldiers and their loved ones. Each letter was punctuated with a popular song of the day.
