Beach Babies Wear Shades and Winter Babies Wear Layers show adorably stylish babies taking part in every activity under the sun (and snowflakes). Beach Babies Wear Shades will make readers yearn for the warmth of the summer through its ocean waves, boogie boards and sand castles. My baby does not really enjoy this entire series of books. Every page has the same color scheme, making the pages visually uninteresting. Parents will probably like the books because the drawings are clever. But please don't turn your babies off to books by forcing them to sit through these. I'm glad I only checked them out of the library. Before I was a parent , these books would have seemed like the perfect baby shower gift to me.

I've been interested in this series for a while, but never picked one up because the descriptions didn't fit my babies. But, William is a winter baby. We read this one together. He didn't much care for it, but I thought it was charmingly cute. Especially liked the page about angels.
The text lacks the wit of the other books in the Urban Babies Wear Black series. Babies do winter- and snow-related activities. The drawing of the baby crying as she makes a snow angel is very cute though.

This one was just alright for me. My least favorite of the series so far. It didn't make me chuckle like the others.
