Spirits in the Sky: Classic Aircraft of World War II
Although thousands of aircraft were produced during World War II, only a handful remain. This is a tribute to 24 bombers and fighter planes built in the U.S., Britain and Germany during that time. These beautifully preserved aircraft rekindle the memories of air battles won and lost with over 150 full-color photographs.

Beautiful pictures of some of the classic WW II airplanes that are still flying. The key is "still", lots of airplanes not mentioned but I guess they are no longer flying. I am not much of an airplane aficionado, but it they were good pictures. Some technical detail supplied.
