Another romance in which the heroine was sexually abused as a child. Now an adult, she lives on an island by herself, caring for a pair of dolphins. She teams up with Kelby, a rich, dangerous adventurer, when she's put in danger for knowing the location of an Atlantis-like city under the sea.

Melis, the main character, is one of my favorites by Johansen. The contrast between her sick, twisted and violent past and the peaceful future that she had created for herself is what keeps bringing me back to this book time and time again...And I am so proud when she learns to overcome this fear that looms over her like a dark cloud, a reminder of her sad past...

This one was by far my favorite of Johansen's (that I've read). The plot twist is one of the ones that you entertain before, go "Nah, that can't be," and then when you get to it, your jaw just drops. It was perfectly done, and I highly, highly recommend it.

I've been a fan of Iris Johanssen's books for a while and was looking forward to reading one about characters other than Eve Duncan.
However, this book was disappointing. The characters weren't particularly interesting, and neither was the plot.

A wonderful light hearted mystery. You experience everything from childhood tortures overcome, unforseen love, and animal preservation to the discovery of underwater cities and the evils people will go to for money, power, and weapons.

Excellent book. Johansen has a great way of keeping you involved and on the edge of your seat. This book had quite a few twists and turns. So be ready.

This is one of my favorites from Iris Johansen. It deals with the sea, intrigue, romance, danger, conflict and... dolphins! A great suspense thriller.

I just finished this one last night. It was good, but it didn't grab me like "Body of Lies" did. I was a bit disappointed in the slow tempo.

This book took me a long time to get into and when it finally got rolling it was not satisfying. A dissapointment to say the least.
