Welcome to Book 21, which with just 7 volumes to go Yuri FINALLY figures out a way to escape ravishment. Guys it was a loooong time coming.

Still acting under the guise of marrying Ramses (and man do I love Nefert) Yuri pretty much acts like she does with Kail (just minus the touchy-feely stuff). I think Ramses figures out pretty quickly why Kail always seems so exasperated with Yuri. She incites a minor kerfuffle during some of Queen Nefertiti's priests chopping off a 5 year old's arm (yeah, the

While this is not my favorite series, it's good and there are a lot of books so it keeps me occupied.
Yuri is a girl transported back in time to the Hittite empire. She must find a way to return home! However she has fallen in love with Kail Mursili, the king, so she might stay. In this book Yuri has been kidnapped by the egyptians, and is General Rameses' pretend Fiancee. The queen dowager wants to do away with Rameses so she can have absolute power, but since he has been kind to Yuri she is try

What first drew me to this series was the romantic historical aspect. I loved how a modern day girl gets pulled back into the past. I don't know what it is about those stories that attract me so much, maybe it is the difficulty for the girl of fitting in and having to rely on the guy so much to be able to get along in the world.

I would really recommend this series to fans of Inuyasha, it has a lot of the same concepts.

I found this series on a mere coincidence but it quickly became one of my all time favourites. I read the entire series in 1.5-2 days. It was truly wonderful and a joy to experience.
