A little boy doesn't like his squeaky, creaky bed so his grandparents decide he just needs a cat. When that doesn't help they get him a dog, a pig, and a parrot. The repetition makes for a good read aloud. Kids can read along with those parts. I also liked the illustrations. I think they were perfect for the mood of this book. This was another one of my discards during The Great Read Aloud Search. It's good, but nothing too special.
